Btw, how can a rally in gold be so called when all it will achieve is taking gold back to low 1300 which is abt $50-60 away from its highs of this year and nowhere near where everyone was ramping it to be for the past 12 months ie$1400-1500.

And it will defo be a case of sell the rally also until it hits $800-ish when one can buy it again for a LTH....imho...until then, STR!!

Herbie, seems gold took off today. Needs to hold $120-1212-ish to be certain of not another fake breakout...

On reflection, pre-election day will most likely see the greatest volatility for gold in one day c.f. the past 3 months in total;)

Scalp day for me today so actually doing ongs on Dow as most osold indice of them all and think it will bounce the hradest eventually.

Too knackered to work out any 4 legged animals or otherwise on those charts and just a choppy choppy day.

But hoping we get round 2 soon when longgs become complacent on any pathetic DCB.....

Dow is nuts today. It's doing 200 points in mins at a time esp on spikes when it wants..........

Scary fact: NQ has dropped to below its 200MA....that hasnt happened since 24 June 2016 -over 2 yrs ago...that does not bode well at all.

I have lower targets for this one.

No problem Herbie;) Glad you didn't lose; so many poor souls followed the blasted ramping SPX bulls shouting 2960-3000+ for months now and got sucked in.

Can imagine many had their accounts blown up thinking 'SPX cant drop any lower'. 100+ points later, it carried on dropping overnight.....

If *they* can take it up at their will, *they* can take it down in the same manner and obliterate as many accounts as they want....

Was the same with gold. 98% called $1400+ and that was when I knew, go short!!

Did the same here....All one had to do was look at a NQ chart and realise that *it* was anything but normal lol;) It literally became a vertical incline.....jeez......

Just note that Gold is a yuan trade.

It is no longer a Dollar trade and no longer a UsdJpy trade. Soley a yuan trade......the 2 are highly correlated for months now.....GL:)

That eerie pause is probably safest option in truth...200MA approaching or been hit for the various instruments so that doesnt bode well.

Trade War has not helped and if you're going to 'blackmail' a nation as large as China, you need to expect some kind of comeback from them. Hats off to them though; pleased they havent takenhis utlmatums & threats etc

Even if there is a DCB, 2-3+ wks of inc'd volatility expected due to mid terms so this isnt going to get better anytime soon....

I guess this is the period when buying opportunities will present themselves though! :)
