in at .35 but the spread is big. Bide my time.
Thanks for that MattyB. I'm currently looking at news articles and website. They have some big game 'brand' names which seem too big to bite the dust. Time Warner look favorites to me.
Eidos? I just read this, although from December. http://www.mcvuk.com/news/32578/Square-makes-late-Eidos-bid-but-Warner-in-pole-position At the time, it was valued at $120m. 80m UK sterling. Market cap is around 40m UK sterling at the mo. Buying in at 15p sounds good (even after the recent poor RNS?) if there is an offer? You more experienced and knowledgeable people agree, or am I missing something? I know shares shot up with ORE on news of a possible takeover.
Hope some peeps take their profits and it retraces for me to get in. May have missed the boat, but will be keeping an eye on this one.
http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2008/11/07/2413876.htm?site=northtas Old news from November, http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2008/11/07/2413876.htm?site=northtas They got more funding from Creat Group since, but if the downturn continues for a protracted length of time, I'm unsure about this company myself. Day traders risk I imagine.
http://business.inquirer.net/money/topstories/view/20081228-180357/Toledo-Mining-lays-off-90-of-workforce Interesting read. I've topped up.
copper prices up. Chinese interest in copper. Monterrico being owned by a Chinese company and miners being up in general. If I had the funds on Sunday I would have been in on Monday morning. Kicking myself now. Hopefully for me it will retrace down sometime this year. This will be a share for the future. In 2012 I think there will be good gains, when things are up and running and move into profit.
Flying up, will it drop down next week or even today?
I wondered that, why USA? Australia I thought would have been a given, but can't find them listed. I'll have to search harder.
Down 15.68% today.
Thanks for that.
What happens to those people that hold ADSL shares, that don't fill in the Form of Acceptance (for whatever reason eg: out of the country / unable to be contacted / travelling abroad etc) and post it off for delivery by 19th December? Are the new shares automatically issued? Sorry for the newbee question, as I haven't held shares in a company which has been subsequently sold / taken over.
I bought at 12, 17.75, 14 and 16p. I'm looking to stay in for the long term. Currently I'm working in China, but over the last six years I've seen such an increase in demand for imported goods into Korea and China that long term I see this type of company doing well in the future, once the economic downturn subsides. I know that wine sales are ever increasing in Korea (do some work for a couple of purchasers in korea). After reading this thread I must be one of the few who look at this in the longer term. I can afford to sit on them. I just hope my mining shares turn a corner too!
Not so sure about that. http://www.lse.co.uk/StockMarketNews.asp?ArticleCode=g87nywhrsfzhpo4&ArticleHeadline=sibir_energy_shares_extend_losses_to_50_pct
What if the exchange rate goes the other way? For example, 1.32 to a pound? Prices go up and down.
I got in at 17.75p, but was limited to 750 shares.
I'm in agreement with you, especially after considering the cash in bank, profitability and number of shares in circulation. Even with a big turndown in sales, there is enough going on this this company to survive and prosper in the long run.

I thought I got a good price at 242p, but they've gone down further. I checked out this company, and in a nutshell, it seemed undervalued, especially for those like me, who are in it for the long run. In recent days the spread has knocked around 40/50%.
