RNS out - more share issues... sold out recently at a small loss - I was starting to feel like a donkey with a carrot dangling in front of me - will continue to monitor as there is still potential .. but sadly it's hard to see it being realised

There are more negative posters - mostly NEW like you - than a couple of very positive posters. The future is unclear hence a sub 4p share price but really... it's holders who s/b concerned! (Plus employees).
Any way Bonmarche have updated today - their winter stock clearance is going well. Some recent improvement from Q4 although still down LFL.. perhaps the worse is over or there may be a levelling off re falling sales. Need to see there retailer updates first..

For the last month the range has been 3p to 6p.. time your trades and you can still make money. I just don't understand why some only want to see the negatives (not really a good way of living imho)

Smartie2, interesting what's happen with FLYB. If MA were to offer 1p for Debenhams, I wouldn't be buying the shares at 6p!
There are investors on the market, high risk investors and then some were it's really a gamble. With Debenhams I acknowledge this is currently higher risk, but have a target and stick to it imho long or short.

I read on the Telegraph website that John Lewis is closing a store (Southsea?) .. bit surprising but probably almost all high street retailers will be down sizing over the next five years .. except charity shops and coffee bars...
Someone asked why the share price is going up .. well perhaps oversold, a few shorts closing or just too cheap now or bargain hunters? Who knows but a listed share has to reach a bottom eventually ... and perhaps 3p was it...

What may be interesting will be to post the lease terms for a M&S, John Lewis or HoF large store as a comparative. Maybe their terms may surprise...

Why do you care? Some of us are invested here (for our sins) and have funds at state - it seems quite PERSONAL with a few of you..

NOV - sorry but it's a bit sad to suddenly post on a new thread just because you have an issue with a particular poster - although a few have followed me around the threads over the years. Sometimes I think we all forget that we are suppose to be discussing the merit of x share and not what a poster is or isn't doing (me included)

NOV - strange... you been on the VOG thread - a tad different company to Debenhams - so what's the sudden interest? There are literally hundreds of companies listed on the market in trouble and that could go bust - especially in retail.. no deal Brexit and there will be hundreds of companies that may go to the wall if it isn't sorted quickly.. opened a short?

AIMLESS - that's dangerous talk imho - it may be your view but you can't say something like that without evidence - to me the fact the company continues to sign new agreements and now will move into Indonesia isn't the form of a company about to go bust! As you know - I totally agree with you about the salaries being paid.
Cavendish - lets be clear - read the RNS again - its not about forgetting about India - its about which country is best NEXT to move into and in the company opinion that company is Indonesia. They want to spread the business risk across a range of countries - makes perfect sense - shame they didn't do it earlier.. as for mobile exposure - perhaps in the big cities there is high mobile take up?? Obviously not in remote village areas!

Fair enough. The RNS in question wasn't much different in content re new agreement than previous RNSs but for some reason was pumped. The company added to the problem by issuing another RNS the same day.. re share price movement.
Re Christmas card list - just some one with a small holding trying to see the positives - this is a positive development but too soon to know what difference it will make .

I just don't see what the issue is. Above is a "1" next to the RNS logo.. I doubt most know or care what type of RNS it is. For a start are you saying all previous RNSs were "full" RNS. Btw after the BB pump & dump a while back I don't blame the company being more cautious re price sensitive info.

Probably his "agenda" is to validate his decision to sell out at a loss - which is fair enough .. when you have a store portfolio of 150 with some being at the same site for 50 years while others it's only 5 years - you are going to have different rental terms based to timing .. some terms will be fine.. others historic and very poor.. hence the store closure programme...

It's an observation more than a personal dig. Some of us are in retail and will read/post on SPD, PatV or Tesco etc. Some just post here but I guess it's the same with other threads.
Actually in Bristol I haven't seen many closures - yet. BHS went a year ago and new brands occupy the space. Debs and HoF and Harvey Nick still trading. I know it's worse in Cwmbran were my family lives. Totally acknowledge retail space will need to downsize over the next 10 years. Landlords will be hit hard too...
