My manager said we are getting 7 of the q16. Will be getting graduates and students to assist. Will confirm tests per day on Monday. As I said per run which is 1 hr it tests + & - controls and 14 patients. Will be getting 7 I think to be confirmed. I'm sure more trusts will be getting them as we will be using them to screen which wards to admit patients. More info Monday. I'm staying in.

Too true. How many headline grabbing new test's has this government championed now. Yet when you scratch the surface we find this new test tech doesn't actually live up to the hype. Meanwhile Novacyt are quietly going about the business of supplying millions of accurate tests.

Although I like the sound of 500,000 pcr tests per day I wouldn't believe everything you read. Poor research here especially in relation to Virolons Heathrow trials. If only they had read their own piece from September they would realise how misleading this article is. (Link below)

Do you know how many machines you will receive? The first phase of the DHSC contract was to supply 300 x Q16/Q32. I think there are over 1200 hospitals in UK. Not sure what % of these would be in line to receive the equipment, but if others hospitals are receiving multiple machines then the 2nd contract for the supply of 700 additional machines looks pretty nailed on . IMO

@Afrowelsh Can I ask how many machines your trust has been supplied. Looks like you mention the Q16 do you have Q32 aswell?
