Seems some people haven't understood the news with regards the possible rule changes with regards LFT/PCR testing.
The rates of infection in UK are so high now it's not possible for all positive lateral flow tests to be confirmed with a PCR. The PCR testing system is beyond capacity. PCR testing isn't being stopped, the authorities need to decide how to best utilise the limited resources.

The guidance at present is if you have symptoms get a PCR test.
No symptoms take a Lateral Flow. If that is positive then take a PCR.

The guidance may change that if you have no symptoms & have a positive Lateral Flow now no need to have confirmed with a PCR. Because infection rates are so high there is a greater chance you really are positive.

This doesn't mean PCR testing is being stopped. It means there aren't enough to go round.

I've never been the most prolific poster. Generally it was some info I found. That is becoming harder to find. I'm just sitting , waiting for some news from the company. If not before Christmas then we'll have financials at end of Jan.

ChrisHar it has been a rollercoaster ride. Seen a lot of people come and go on this board. At the moment it seems to have been infected by the Dribble variant which has caused a few to lose their heads. This company has a great future beyond covid. The foundation's are set , which is always the hard part as it seems to take a lot of time, effort & money to seemingly get nowhere.

I don't know much about charts & I'm not always convinced with some that you see posted online. However there obviously are investors who trade using them so who are we to say they are wrong. At the end of the day we don't all believe in the same god. So if the fundamentals are good and the charts are looking positive. Happy days.

Let's just hope the capacity for pcr tests for all incoming travellers is still there. Just a couple of months ago it was deemed redundant. This government doesn't do U-Turns . Haha

I can see a rush of validations now. Especially for companies that have a good track record of accurate & reliable tests.

I would think there would be a good chance that at least 1 person visiting from South Africa for the rugby in London last weekend would have been infected. If it is as contagious as they say, watch this space.
On a side note. The first reported case in Europe involved a person who hadn't been to South Africa. They had recently been in Turkey & Egypt. Who & where did they contract it?
