It was clearly stated in the local press that AST shareholders had bullied and been abusive to ARSO staff and that this was far from welcome. Whilst frustration is understandable, taking it out on ARSO staff when they are hopefully so close to making a positive decision, is definitely not the right approach

The point is that most of us are small investors 'gambling' that the permit will fall and some profit comes about as a result. I and others bought on the big crash a few weeks ago when it went to 0.40, so I have already taken out my initial investment. I don't know the history but if CH is willing to make such positive statements again this week, I am happy to be told I am a blind fool keeping my money here

I take your point Tintin, but my aim was to show the possible contradiction between the statements. Yes they have cash now, but will need more. If they want to be sure of getting the cash, they would, in my opinion, raise now else they run into less and less likelihood of success as time drags on, or worse still, they get another government set-back. I remain hopeful of a positive decision, but there are too many issues at play, so they have a big judgement call to make as to when to next raise funds.

The Directors are confident they are taking all necessary steps to ensure that the required finance will be available and they have successfully raised equity finance in the past. They have therefore concluded that it is appropriate to prepare the financial statements on a going concern basis. However, while they are confident of being able to raise the new funds as they are required, there are currently no agreements in place, and there can be no certainty that they will be successful in raising the required funds within the appropriate timeframe. These conditions indicate the existence of a material uncertainty which may cast significant doubt over the Group's and the Company's ability to continue as a going concern and that it may be unable to realise its assets and discharge its liabilities in the normal course of business. The financial statements do not include any adjustments that would result if the Group and Company were unable to continue as a going concern.
