He hints at 2 Tier 1 local players to indicate why this is positive and then refers to substantial added value in 2019. I expect the discussion with the preferred partner to be well advanced and ready to conclude soon, but since not before 31 March, his previous RNS deadline and only two weeks away, he had to release something.

Crumble we almost agree! The MCAP improvement is a by-product of the discovery but it does not in itself determine the way in which the revenue is split by the participants; that is by virtue of the investment levels in a given project. Your explanation indicated that the revenue would be split pro-rata to MCAP, but one companies MCAP could be driven by other revenue streams separate to the investment in-hand, and as such is irrelevant.

Crumble you are as ill-informed as the person you criticise. The MCAP has sod all to do with the share of the discovery, as that is determined by the investment ratio. The MCAP is the value of share multiplied by number of shares in issue. The impact of a rise in RMP vs 88e share price merely reflects the value of the pro-rated find divided by the number of shares in issue ie the more shares issued (88e) the impact on share price is more heavily diluted. In this case RMP and 88e have similar percentages of ownership 36% and 30 something% (let's say 31%) and so a £100m find one would have 36m and the other 31m, but one will be divided by 6.331m shares (88e) and the other 530m shares (RMP)

In part because there are far less shares in issue and in part herd mentality. I would certainly have expected a comparable rise today given that RMP got its pro rata benefit 2 days ago

No well managed company wants wild swings in their share price as it discourages investment, so in my opinion a positive but not over exaggerated RNS is spot on

Using the link in the RNS rather than the RNS itself, things don't look anywhere near as bad. We have gone through Seabee and found nothing - no real surprise. We are only at 4530' which is half way to TD. This has shown oil, so though not great it is positive. Surely therefore, as we go deeper to TD, then the likelihood of the hydrocarbon shows increasing is greater. I really don't think you can take a really pessimistic view on this if you look at the map and where we are vs where we are going. Just my opinion

I bought £12.5k of shares in two blocks at 1151 and they are still not showing, so I wouldn't be surprised if others are also.

In my opinion it would be normal for a Company to comment on wild swings in share price (particularly intra day), and wrote to John Teeling saying so. He replied that he was not going to comment as far as Clontarf is concerned, they are unaware of any change to the situation.

Morning dj. Well I have just bought £5k's worth to take a punt that Teeling is silent because there is nothing to report and that this will bounce on any buys. Let's hope a few other mad people like me are around today!

Or it was SOLO dumping another 4m at the beginning of the day and only just been declared by MM? A buy of this size would surely see some upward movement once filled
