It means it is so large that the exchange feels it could have an effect on liquidity and provides special authority to delay. Woody LRGS is the trade type on the London Stock Exchange. It helps to know type of trade if you want to invest and understand what it means rather than guess like most on here. This trade could even have been deferred from yesterday

This has an LRGS annotation so it is a large trade authorised to be notified on a deferred basis. Unlikely to be a purchase given price drop, but equally the % fall was small.

This 100k seller keeps killing any upward movement. God knows how much more they have left to flip from the placing?!

The mengo and R2 flows fund the work on the Djeno - simple as that. Djeno needs a lot of expensive topside work, so unless you want dilution from a fund raise, he needs to get some cash flowing. He keeps saying cash is KIng and he is absolutely right!!!!

Agreed Nutsy. I hold 5.2m at same average and am not in the slightest worried YET lol. I have been let down before on this share, as have many many others, but the fundamentals appear to there. We have the best seismic data in the form of 3D, so providing the interested party interprets it similarly positively, we should be safe on a FO and possibly in for a full acquisition.

Kilkenny Ltd were declaring their 5.25% stake on 8 Feb when share price was 10p, so perhaps they are happy with a safe 10% profit

I am sure most of us would agree that this seller makes no sense. The AAOG price has traded in such a tight range for so long, that there can't be much profit to take. He/she has been selling for week or so, so whilst there is a bit today, there hasn't been previously. Add to that the imminent news flow and either he/she is guessing on bad news or they simply don't care.

ROSE is in the US Tiptop, so why are DS and JB getting distracted way away from home turf in Africa. Either they have time on their hands (unlikely) are greedy and want another job (in which case I agree with JohnHenry that they should choose which horse to ride and not try to do both + all the other Directorships they have) or they are looking to leave AAOG for some reason. My guess is greed and they want another job, but that for me personally is bad news as it means loss of focus on AAOG at a time when it really needs it.

Rose announces that David Sefton joins them as Non Exec Chairman and our CEO James Berwick joins them as a NED. Negative is that this means they can't concentrate properly on their own AAOG business, positive is they have a deal to announce where they won't be needed in AAOG much longer. Any guesses??

Hi Aussie. The only reason this scenario is being discussed is that the facts are (and were stated in the last RNS) that majors have adjacent blocks eg Conoco that are producing. Add to that 88e has the best possible 3D seismic data (many others like companies still only have access to 2D) on our own acreage that should give definitive understanding of hydrocarbon presence and scale. If that 3D data is very good (assessed though the current Data Room access that potential Farminees currently have, then the theory goes that a player with big pockets might be willing to take a very well informed (data driven) investment in the whole company rather than just be a Farminee and take a share of the spoils. All conjecture, but it could and I hope, it is possible.

Your explanation of public contracting and the requirement for Alcatel, is impressive and correct BUT this is not a public body as per the definitions for public procurement ie a state run organisation such as NHS or Defence. 88e is a private entitity (plc) and can contract as it sees fit, albeit not anti-competitively
