I have both and will keep both. AVCT has bigger medium term potential because of their Affirmer product and antigen approach, plus they are tied up with US big boys Danaher who own Cytiva. Personally I think AVCT will get bought out

The test is Mologic's and will be manufactured by UK (ODX) and Senegal. That said, I do think ODX will fall tomorrow

You are right Chris but the articles say it will be manufactured in U.K. (presumably by ODX - hopefully confirmed by an RNS) and Pasteur in Senegal

Remember IDX don’t need to be mentioned as they are purely in a manufacturing agreement with Mologic - the scale of which has not yet been announced.

Note in the RNS it says Omega ‘will’ produce from its Alva plant. It could have said may produce!

Thanks Paddy. Is there anything you have seen or know from the research that would indicate any possibility that Havieron would not be commercially viable to mine? For me this is the only unanswered doubt, as the find is clearly huge and way better than Red Chris that they bought.

Remember that companies pay a premium for strategic value and in this case it is the near-end-of-life Telfer reprocessing plant 30km away. Newcrest want to keep that operating and by buying GGP or Havieron alone (I think it will be all or nothing as that gives them upside with the other acreage that cant easily be valued by either party at this time - but a nominal and fair value will have to be attributed) they save the cost of building a new plant

If you want more information to keep you awake, look at this exploration report issued by Newcrest on 30 January and compare the gold content found in Havieron and Red Chris. havieron is spectacular in comparison, yet Newcrest bought out Red Chris on much smaller finds. Also consider that a few weeks ago Newcrest drew down $600m of revolving credit to take its cash balance to $1.4 billion. Why get more cash when you already had plenty unless you want the option to acquire something soon???. .......

When I bought in tranches at less than 3p it was about 5 times on the margin valuefinder. That’s the thing with IG they let you trade on low value shares quite competitively. I bought in with ODX at 5 times and am now well up on that. As soon as IG see value for traders and risk for themselves they slam the margin rates up

When Coronavirus struck and price went to 2.7p on the crash I was ploughing money in to survive, but now if it drops, I simply lose some profit. If Newcrest decide it isn’t what they thought it was and walk, I am fxxxxd :)

I am with IG and margin was 10 times when I bought but new bet is now 20 times, hence why if I sold I couldn’t get back in. You can trade on any AIM stock if you have the margin funds

I did think that also islandgirl, but I also have a £30k GGP traditional shareholding which is at £42k, so I think that will be sold this week. I would normally bank profits but with spreadbetting it is impossible to get back in due to cost of margins. Also the results are already good and even if they were confirmed at 10m oz, I doubt we would go backwards

If it helps I am up £120k up and still holding, earning £25k for every penny rise (risky spreadbet instead of a straight share purchase). I hope I am not totally stupid and reckless.

In truth I came in just before the current farm-in so can’t tell you about that. What 8 can say is drilling and the find has been with Newcrest and the drilling results speak for themselves. There are unknown sie size of find and geology to access on a commercial basis. Unlikely but not definite that Newcrest would have spent so much and been so upbeat if they didn5 think it was commercially viable, but this week will confirm this. As for size, th3 suggestion before step-out was noticed was 5-10m oz, but if step-out they recently conducted has shown he find extends to those limit, we are talking a super pit of 20+m oz.
