IMHO opinion this price rise is driven by shortage of stock and bodes well for the future. Remember GDXJ have 121 million, add all the other funds like PRIM with 20m and then us LTH’s sitting on our hands with over 200m at the last count (May have been higher) and it means that there simply isn’t much liquidity. That’s great news all round for any positive RNS as long as we don’t buckle and sell too much.

Good points. My guess is that with the Board turmoil at PRIM we will see a TR1 showing their team were told to sell their entire holding. I certainly hope it all went yesterday if it was them and that there isn’t a hangover still around.

we should all email GGP asking why they haven’t issued a statement to say that they know of no reason for the significant share price movement - as is usual practice for good companies to do. I have just done so and will post any response if I get one.

I will only add that whilst it is very risky, it also has high rewards providing you get in early at low prices. I started buying GGP on Spreadbet at 1.85p and margin was minimal (less than £1000 for a £1000 bet). Now a £1000 per point bet will cost me £7000 Margin. I have £23,000 a point at the moment and my margin calls this week have been horrible, but as I am many hundreds of thousands up on GGP I can cover it. If you want to try Spreadbetting know the risks and find a stock at a low price. If it is only 2p for example, the. downside risk is very low and upside enormous.

I agree with the sentiment but if you are spreadbetting like me (as well as standard shares) then these drops are very expensive. That said,just tried a dummy sell of half million shares with Halifax expecting NT but got offer of 20.25 showing that there are buyers

If there are no sell orders in the pipeline it would open at 27p whereas buy orders would drive it higher. There will be some profit taking but I do not believe it will open at 21/22 as the buy was not a UT as some keep saying. It was the ETF buying after hours as per their fund rules and totally expected by those of us who had researched.

Zoros is you had read their rules and the trusted members of this board, you would know they were not allowed to buy until after the close. What has been happening is the MMs building stock to sell at a huge profit. Let’s see Monday

It’s not a UT zoros as that was earlier. This is the ETF purchase and whilst there might be some profit taking on Monday I doubt very much it will go down by much.

@hydrogen. Whilst you are correct it wouldn’t affect the MCAP you are wrong about what creates the MCAP. It is not the assets but shares in issue multiplied by share price. Thus even if consolidation occurred one would halve and the other double and hence no change. Best we all talk authoritatively here. Best wishes

Well said Zoros, albeit a tad crudely. Sadly the good information from Paddy, Mercedesman eat al is now swamped and those of us that used to read and digest it all in great detail, can no longer find it. The reason for so many having been successful with GGP is because of the highly informed nature of this board and that is now in danger of being trashed.

What the heck are you on about Cushty. My point was and still is, that in the face of all the fundamentals (advanced last night) , I believe selling now (when posted) would be short-sighted and indeed the price rise since reflects that. However if anyone wishes to sell, that is their decision and nobody should openly criticise it. I am in deep and up in multiples of six figures, yet still not selling, so stop trawling for dirt on people’s posts and just comment with your own views.
