All these funds have rules on the percentage of value any one share can make up on their portfolio so as to mitigate risk. Vaneck admitted they had to sell a while ago because the share price was so high their GGP holding was then to highly valued as a percentage of total. The recent drop could well allow these funds to buy more and GDXJ are scheduled to rebalance early March. I doubt the recent drop was due to rebalancing, but more likely a ‘distressed seller’ having to offload to cover losses elsewhere. It’s been painful but let’s hope today’s stability and rise holds

As a large long spreadbetter on this share I had to double the size of my cahunas to stay in this share with huge margin calls over past weeks. Never sold any and now I can begin to relax and be able to walk outside again without people staring at me lol. GLA

It hurts (especially if spreadbetting) but if you believe in the fundamentals then you have to sit it out. My other main investment AVCT went from 180p to 99p over last few months and today it is over 190, so the market can react positively if the news is right.

I will go further MFU and say an MRE upgrade before the PFS is a certainty. In next 6 mths NCM will have done another 6.5km of drilling and we should be clearer on what was excluded last time! All looks very bright except the current shenanigans on the SP

My understanding is that the MRE gets upgraded when NCM have done enough more drilling/assaying to be confident that they can put a larger (notable increase) number on the resources - in effect it can be upgraded as many times as they wish if they keep on establishing more confirmed gold/copper. The PFS is unconnected to an extent in that this is a financial calculation as to the feasibility of mining the discovery on a cost effective basis. This is done on a pre feasibility basis and then on a definitive basis DFS

Elise your abuse isn’t clever and shows you for a really awful person. I paid off two mortgages with this share and sold quite a chunk when it was 35p, but I have bought them all back on the drop. That’s called savvy investing and doesn’t require me to gloat or abuse. To use your own language, why don’t you leave this fecking board?

@shareman like you I have bought more on each drop and am at limit with 3m but I am never going to sell to let these guys win. Any good news on SW will turn this around big time and I hope these barstewards get burnt!

@benrumpson i doubt it. Ism with IG and spread betting long on GGP. The IG website shows their clients 100% long on this stock

@Jamesp that’s a very good question. I think there are two possible scenarios. First is that there is a distressed seller trying to offload a very large quantity at a minimum price and hence why MMs can’t drop it big time. Second is that there is a big buy order in at a maximum price so they keep dropping a little at a time to get ‘weak’ sellers but they are not having enough success. In this scenario they wouldn’t want to crash the price to keep one ii happy at the expense of many other ii customers. However, on balance and on the basis that the price recovered after GHs purchase and then dropped again, I think it’s scenario 1. I have seen apparently odd selling before on other stocks only for a big rebound when they are finished. There often is no obvious reason to sell, but all investors have their reasons and timings and it could even be that they need the cash to cover losses elsewhere.

It’s a stop gap but still shows we are way behind the curve

The RNS was more substantive in that they have realised that by starting the feasibility study the cost of mining as planned would be too great. This is exactly why GGP is the best as we don’t have funding risk of this kind and why NCM took their Director off the SOLG Board when they took out a loan to go it alone. GGP is well set for whatever is ahead!

Let’s hope they move their money here ??
