Bid is false as I have twice done dummy sells of 100k and being offered 9.97p, so I suspect some of these buys showing below 10p may be sells but not affecting the price.

Van Eck had to sell under their ETF rules and now they are desperately trying to buy back. Clear to me that the shorters intention was to force ETF’s to sell as they know the rebalance dates

It is because Options are a gift from the company; like a Benefit in Kind and so taxable. If price drops that’s the risk of exercising as he could exercise and sell in one go.

Sorry should have said tax now on diff between option price at grant and market value now. CGT above that

@sAs there is an immediate income tax liability on the paper gain between option price and exercise price and then CGT kicks in on any gains above the exercise price.
