FWIW I don't think this is a sign of news, as much as it's a sign of how quickly the stock can move with a limited free float - I'm reducing my holding at c. 3.2p with the expectation that I will be buying back in around the 2.5p mark in a couple of weeks - I'm still targeting November '18 into early '19 for significant news and a return to the recent highs.

Of course, I may be kicking myself by Monday :/

Redundancy - Surely 6p to 30p is a 400% rise, no? 6p + (400% * 6p) = 30p

I'd add BPC to that list too personally... even with the recent rise in mind I don't think the many people appreciate just how much oil they're talking about. Within 3 months the price will either be 1/5 or 5x plus where it is now, depending on whether they agree a farm in with the major, but either way it certainly wont be close to where it is now (obviously I'm taking the optimistic view).

Normally I’d agree with the maths, but 75% was obviously an exaggeration as the price didn’t go much above 8p so Pred was simply reading between the lines...

Same Naz, I’d be surprised to see 2p breaches personally - considering that the market valued it at 1-1.5p pre ruling, and it finally reported a small profit last year (on a substantial increase in turnover). If no significant news beforehand then I’m targeting late October to substantially grow my holding (I’m still in, but at about half my original volume)... I think the end of the year / start of 2019 will see a good set of results, news on California and a very positive RSN off the back of that

In a nutshell, yes! California = approx 12.1% of the total US population, New Jersey is about 2.8%. New York, which is also important and as we all know has been kicked further down the road is about 6.1%

Thanks Pred, I always enjoy your posts and appreciate the heads up on the other board (whether strictly allowed or not). Still waiting for the application to be processed, but it looks and feels like an asset matching website... I was in Brewdog very early on so I've had *some* experience with those previously; hopefully Britdaq is actually nothing like assetmatch (dot) com, or I'm in for a long and painful wait!

I was quoted a buy price of £0.15 and a sell price of £0.1355, but only on very low volumes... not that I'm looking to get in for more than £5-10k here - partly due to the situation and partly because of my reluctance to reduce my other 'risky' holding

Very interesting blog - unlike my holding in WEB I don't think anyone could complain that they weren't being kept in the loop here either. I'm assuming that the excitement is in relation to AE's latest post, 'But for long suffering shareholders of Worthington, the next few weeks should bring some very welcome news', which sounds very promising if you're currently stranded in WRN.

I'm still not sure what the implications are for people buying in to WHET at this late stage of the game... any advice?

Look on the bright side - we're pretty much guaranteed an update at the end of November... and if that update is that nothing much has happened in the meantime then at least the SP wont have much further to fall by then :/

I cant see any mention of WRN on Whetstone's website though (are they trying to distance themselves from the association?), only a company called Rapid. Google searches seem to throw up a mix of websites offering free shares in WHET(?!), FCA raids and articles about the Rangers debacle. I wasn't in WRN pre-suspension, but am I right in thinking that they got into trouble largely through not paying their debts and not filing accounts? Is WHET run by the same board?

We should have been in talks months ago is my point though, with news coming fast after the ruling... we literally held all the cards on day 1. If the BOD waited for the ruling to start talking to people then they have a lot to answer for IMO

Wise words indeed - I did a bit of trading around the 7.5p and 50% initial retrace levels, but the aim of that was to stakebuild... I’m starting to regret being quite overweight in WEB, as much as I still believe in the opportunity here I’m very disappointed in what seems to be a lack of BOD action, and certainly is a lack of communication. Those that were in pre-ruling all knew one was coming, and most suspected at least a partial repeal, so the BOD should have been well ahead of the curve in capitalising on what should be the best case scenario for this company, with significant newsflow and a coherent strategy following days not months down the line! Could be worse though, we could be on the TERN ADVFN board ;)

As I say I’ve never tried it myself - does the platform agree to honour the spot price and just take the dealing fee? Given that both trades are going through them?

Having never tried it myself I apologise in advance if I’m just being ignorant, but why would I bed and isa a stock like Webis where the spread is cr4p? Surely thats just giving money away, however optimistic you’re feeling...?

Ok I’m with you now - I don’t think many people would be unhappy with a SP in the mid-20’s

Treacle - hopefully a re-rate that isn’t swiftly followed by a poorly written, ‘We don’t know why the SP keeps rising’ RNS... so maybe not too similar to TERN
