I see what you mean. If it's not removed from the ISEQ they'll manufacture a sell (or even a buy!) of a small amount which will bring the sp back down to parity with LSE.

Granto, where did you get it confirmed as an error? It's still showing as 9c. Don't understand that.

Ptr has just jumped over 23% on the ISEQ. For smaller shares I'd usually ignore ISEQ activity but the ISEQ and AIM re-align with each other very quickly when it comes to PTR. It may well be an error. I just double-checked and PTR is sitting at 9c right now. Very strange.

..at the sp increase. The more I think about it and the more I see, the less I think the sp will drop due to PI impatience. I don't want to sound like one of those insane rampers that ruin so many discussions and actually turn potential investors off a company but Petroneft is holding up very well. I think the debt-free mid-term situation and the very promising drilling results augur well. Have a good weekend (long weekend for the UKers).

Hi Granto. Had a quick look at Oxus. Very risky indeed. Even if they win the case against the Uzbekis the latter could still ignore the ruling. I have a couple of dogs in my portfolio and my attitude is not to sell as I'll get so little for them I may as well leave the money there on the off-chance they work out. Petroneft is my big one, tbh. They're debt-free and already producing oil. Their P1, P2 and P3 are very healthy. With heavy involvement from OIL I can see them doing well. But like all the oil/gas shares it's a goddamn lottery.

The OIL engagement was always going to happen. They're no soft touch. Pity the delay happened but at least we'll be up and running shortly. You're right about Davys, Granto. Same with all brokers really - you're never sure who they're involved with. The only thing is they lose credibility if their estimates are wrong. Incidentally, I don't think that final buy is accounted for in the 2.22% sp increase today. Might open slightly higher.

Davy's issued a report this morning on Petroneft. It had the contents of the RNS and this last line too: "Post-deal valuation a realistic target: Allowing for the reduction of its equity interest in Licence 61 and for the 50% share of the work programme, we value the group post-deal at 11.3p per share."

LOL. If I bow I might never straighten up again! Kinda surprised (again) that the sp is holding up. Usually when a delay is acknowledged the sp drops. There seems to be a solid base of Petroneft shareholders who are determined to hold for as long as it takes. Things do look very good right now. Fully funded and debt-free, drilling about to recommence. Trying hard not to sound rampish - I suppose at the end of the day it's all about drill results. Even they look very promising. Then again so did Kea, Fastnet, Mosman etc etc. At least we have P1 as well as P2 and P3.

Cheers lads. I see someone using the name 'spudders' over on advfn or Iii doubts I had that conversation on the basis that I won't name the Petroneft person. I can't say I blame him. If I read a post from someone else without studying their form I'd ignore it too. Nevertheless, my earlier post is true - if nothing else I'm honest. There's a few reasons I don't want to name him: firstly, I asked him if it was OK to post the conversation (roughly) and he said ok. Secondly, when I asked if It was ok to use his name the fecking reception on my mobile failed for a moment! I'm almost sure he said ok but I missed it. Thirdly, he was decent enough to talk to me and I intend to use the contact very sparingly. I can only report what he told me.

Those of you who doubted the drilling had started were correct. Those who accepted the RNS (July 4th) stating drilling would begin 'shortly' should not have - me included. There has indeed been a delay. I just spoke to a director of Petroneft. I would rather not give the person's name. He told me the delay was caused by difficulties getting manpower to the location. I didn't ask what the nature of the difficulties were. The good news is that drilling is to begin this week.The person told me that Petroneft will be making an announcement to that effect tomorrow. My assumption (the Petroneft person did not say this to me) is that results will still take 60 days so instead of mid-September we should hear news around mid- to late October.

Been a couple of weeks coming. It's been very difficult to know what were sells and what were buys over the last week or so. With such a narrow spread almost every trade was listed as a sell. Was wondering which way the sp would eventually go. Pleasantly surprised it went up given there's been no news. I still think the sp will go down during the 60 day period before drill results.

Quite surprised at the resilience of the sp. As I said before I expected it to go down quicker as impatience sets in. Over 4% drop today after remaining steady for days (leaving out yesterday's rise) is acceptable. I'm beginning to think it might not go to 4.5/4.6p before drilling results. Don't want to be overly positive but in the light of the sp's strong performance by dropping so little on zero news so far I'm amending up my low point to 4.8p. That's based on there being no news until Ptr's committed 60 day result expectation. (Mid-September)

It says 35,000 @ £3.58 so the total price is right. Not sure what's going on.

Yeh. Still, I see Tangiers (TPET) has suspended trading in its shares after a disastrous few weeks. They say they hope to resume trading on 12th August. Just goes to show how much of a gamble these oilies are.

Just this minute I did a search for 'ptr share chat'. The opening page with all the results had this on top: Petroneft Resources PLC LON: PTR - 6 Aug 11:21 GMT 3.582.06 (36.52%) Hopefully an error!
