I doubt it. It's from 5/11/14. As far as I know it's already factored in. Ptr is the only share I've ever traded that leads (me) to confusion. Weird trades, huge trades which don't influence the share price, small buys and sells which do influence the share price. Best just to wait for news!!

Maybe they're going to update us on both Arbuzovskoye and Tungolskoye at the same time? Both are due now. Personally, I'd consider a double update as another publicity opportunity lost. Nevertheless, they are presenting at the Oilbarrel conference in December.

They sure did blow a load of money but that was before India Oil got involved. They'll make sure PTR spend the 45 million properly. However, like all oilies it depends on the results! Looking good though.

PTR was at nearly 7p after the farmout and obviously dropped during the waiting period. In the last seven days it has risen from 5.6p to whatever it finishes today. (See the charts on this page above for one week performance). All this against the backdrop of major anti-oily sentiment. Luckily PTR sell internally in Russia but still, the sentiment has been brutal. I wonder have many smaller investors from the companies badly affected been buying in here? Looks like tomorrow or Friday will bring news - probably tomorrow.

UKOG down over 40%, Solo down over 20%, Aex down 6% for second day, MSMN down 17%, Rose down again. Looks like investors are prepared to slaughter any bad news at all. I hope PTR's news is reasonable. Doing well to have very small sp increases for the last few days.

Yep. Hoping for a decent RNS this week. Next week at worst. They may issue one RNS with Arbuzovskoye and Tungolskoye news together. Something good before Christmas would be nice but it's a long termer for me so not really concerned.

5,000 bopd would mean a re-rate. 500 would be nice.

Being rude in company here! Thought today's RNS was the horizontal results. Just read it now. 100 increase on vertical? Is that not good news?

Hi Granto. I'm a bit all over the place. Wrote that message from Kuala Lumpur on the way to Australia (having missed original connection at Abu Dhabi). Thought the market was closed (with PTR up) but there was still a few hours to go. Using a friend's iPad now while visiting and still haven't read the RNS. Not overly impressed as I see the sp actually dropped by closing but wouldn't be remotely concerned as PTR is a longtermer for me. Even a non-increase wouldn't have bothered me too much. Will catch up later in the week.

Toda's results seem to matter more to shorttermers than longtermers. Only a complete moron would see a 3 figure barrel increase as a bad thing. Lol Pity it wasn't more of an increase but the market is happy. Sp up in a dire market.

Savannah, Rose, MSMN, UKOG, Kea, Fastnet all being hit hard today. Aminex down over 10%, Sav over 7.5%. I said it the other day and it's happening again - Petroneft is holding up remarkably well.

Sp rising on the back of large buys, small number of trades. Hope I'm not putting the mockers on it but it's looking good.

Any down day is a bad day but it needs to be put in perspective. A few shares I keep an eye on (not invested but on my watch list out of pure curiosity): Rose Petrol down over 4% today, Savannah down over 4% today, MSMN down over 7% today, Kea (which most thought couldn't go any lower) down over 5% today. All over the markets shares have performed very badly today (not all I'm sure but those I observe). People get sucked into thinking their own share's situation is the big influence on its sp and a lot of the time it is. Today, most of the worldwide markets dropped on the back of negative US data and the IMF's expressed concern about the global economy. It's all over the business pages. As I said, sp going down is always a bad thing but it could have been an awful lot worse than down 1.23%. 6 weeks ago I predicted ptr to drop to 4.6p during the waiting period. When the sp refused to drop even after the drilling delay I upped my prediction ed drop to 4.8p due to its resilience. After today when oilies were raped I'm upping my drop prediction again to 5.2p until news. Even if the news on T-5 is poor (which it is widely expected not to be) there is still a huge drilling program into the future. I'm impressed despite the usual lack of updates from the bod.

Hi SirBob. I would say that we would see an sp drop on bad news. Nevertheless, it's a longterm share for me. T-5 is only the first new re-drilling - there's a lot more to come. The lack of patience of many investors would result in a share price drop but hopefully it'll be good news.

Lol. Duster567, when one opens this website one can't help seeing filtered peoples' posts until one logs in (but I'm sure you know this). You're doing here exactly what you've done on ADVFN - you make nonsensical comments about PTR which are always negative, never, ever positive. That lost you credibility on ADVFN where you are a much maligned pariah - RCT. You were outed on Discussthemarket.com (yet another site where you're considered pathetic). You claimed you sold out at a huge loss and therefore calling you a loser is accurate. What you did on ADVFN is make claims about people such as 'so and so is being nasty again' , just like you're doing here with me. Personally, I think you're an asset to PTR. You're so well known for unintelligent observations that when you say something people know, because of your bitterness at mistakenly selling out, that the opposite is usually true. You've been found out on ADVFN and rarely post there anymore using RCT because your points were consistently found ridiculous. I welcome you here as you give posters the opportunity to highlight the real merits of PTR. This was a decent, respectful board until you got here. If you want to mess it up go right ahead. At the end of the day you lost thousands on PTR and most of us here have made thousands. Quit being such a victim.
