Clarification: below is exactly what the last RNS stated: "The Arbuzovskoye 104 well has now been drilled in the northern part of the field adjacent to the A-106 well. The logs indicate that the well has 5.4 m of net oil pay in the J1-1 Upper Jurassic interval at a depth of -2,467 m TVD and looks similar to the adjacent A-106 well which is currently producing about 175 bopd. We are currently completing the A-104 well and anticipate bringing it on production within a week." So, the last RNS didn't say there should be news but surely bringing a well 'on production' is worthy of an RNS?

The RNS of 3rd Feb said there should be news on Arb-4 in about a week. That'd be today or tomorrow. Hopefully, it'll be as good as the 3rd. Although the way the market is working lately a bad result might see the sp rising!

Granto, I noticed you bought them at rock bottom. Great stuff. I wanted to as well but had no funds available til next week. There's quite a few oil companies too that look very tasty after the price drop. Anyway, I'm very happy to see PTR well above 2,000 bopd again, and with a clearly outlined plan for the short and medium term.

Hi Granto. Glad you got that message. Looking at the share it seems to me that 3 or 4 decent buys could see the sp rising again. I believe we are due some news in the next week or two. Let's hope it's good news!

Granto, I think you'll do well out of PTR. The likes of yourself and I got in very low thankfully. The sp is ridiculously low for a debt-free, producing oil company with tens of millions to spend. I frequently look at about 6/7 other oil companies and they have been decimated by this oil price crisis. It's also very encouraging to see a £400,000+ buy. I think we'll be grand.

Yes. 3.8p is indeed worse than 1p. Sheesh. Guess who bought in at a ridiculously high price and is now very bitter and wants everyone else to feel his poverty. A load of crudde if you ask me.

Actually before the oil price crisis I had more than doubled my money. Granto was up too. I'm still up. It's all about when you bought in. That's probably just crudde to you but it's worth mentioning.

Two sells all day (at the time of writing - 13:20) and the sp rises? Nothing like an inexplicable sp rise!

I wonder if there'll be a late buyer like yesterday's £28.

With the spread at 10% it would be interesting to see what a buy or two would do to the sp, if anything.

1,000 bopd is not even remotely needed right now. Ptr's drilling schedule is very full for the next 12 months at the very least. Of course 1,000 bopd from one site would be great but if PTR increase 1,000 (bopd) over the next 12 months, including all drills, I'd be very happy. Getting the farmout deal done a few months before this latest oil price crisis was extremely lucky. I hope Ptr reaps the benefits while many other oilies flounder.

Hi Granto. I'm in work and can't listen to the presentation til I get home. Things look good. I'm a wee bit surprised at how well the sp held up after OPEC's decision. I know it doesn't affect PTR's market but sentiment against a sector can be a b**ch (as evidenced by small number of sellers). If an RNS comes out before Christmas, which looks very likely, we may be discussing it prior to the festivities. Just thinking about it I think I won't do anything until after the Oilbarrel conference. Probably would have had no effect anyway!

Fair play, Granto. If you don't get a timely reply and there's still no word on developments I'll go over their heads to Oil India. I really don't like being treated disrespectfully. May have no effect on when we hear but it might be passed on to Ptr bod. Who knows? I'm under no illusion that I mean zero to OIL or PTR but it'll make me feel better!! One week from now is my deadline.
