Pan American quoted at usd 8.3bn so 1% worth around usd 83m so you can see why they weren't too keen on keeping. Not a lot in the scheme of things and they would have no influence whatsoever with such a small stake

Doesn't read as if it is going to distribute any of it to the shareholders however much it is. I guess we will be notified eventually.

Who knows but I suspect half full as if they weren't still interested and the company was being difficult then they probably would have walked.

No is the short answer. Lots of bio techs heavily down today but as far as I can see this is the heaviest. Still trying to work out what has caused it. Any ideas?

And the longer than usual time between the two here is because of the long shutdown because of Easter

Actually I think Strike is right. It normally takes a couple of days for the transaction to be registered I..e. recorded and you need to be on that record to get the div so buy before the ex div date

Both Fidelity and Dividend Max give the ex div date as 17th but the Record date of 22nd. With every other share I have been in it's the ex div that counts. I'm not sure how the Record date affects that if at all

Good article in the Economist about the future of silver, its relationship to the gold price, wider uses and is generally very bullish as another safe haven. Quite short and well worth a read so I am holding for better things but with my track record that is certainly not a recommendation

Looks like people not waiting for the change and getting out. Big drop from 420. Halifax sent note saying that they didn't know if they could trade the new shares but a chat today said they do trade Nasdaq so I'm a bit confused and don't know what to do.

Torn about a possible takeover as it always seems our best companies get snapped up and the best stuff moved to the States but a bid would surely be at least £6 and that would be a small profit.
