Hope you are well. A lot of mine are in miners, both valuable and rare earths which are generally up but fluctuate wildly. Managed to find somewhere near the top with Fresnillo which was nice but am about to lose a packet on Wood. Construction/engineering has been very bad for me overall.

Down we go again. Overall market is weak I guess waiting for the fragrant Rachel and reaction to the US drops but I had hoped for more resilience by now given how it is being turned around. Ah well.....

Relist once the accounts are published and at least 14 days before the 12th meeting

Thats a different notice. This one says that the board has approved the 30p offer and it will be put to shareholders on 12th November with recommendation to accept. Seems pretty cut and dried to me unless I'm missing something obvious

Halifax has just said that the sale has been agreed subject to share holders approval

Being a cynical type person I now wonder if it starts to pave the way to list on Nasdaq rather than London as many successful UK companies have done or been bought out by US ones

And of course should remove any question of tariffs on any US imports as a secondary benefit.

Let's hope that we can hold on to the 6s this time and use it for a base for the next assault. Sold out of Fres at circa £23 now watch that leap forward but nice to be in the black here

The drop continues. I thought it was a good report but obviously the market thinks otherwise. Shows what I know. Perplexing.

Fresnillo going gangbusters for me though I have been selling on the way up so left a lot behind but if I hadn't it would have dropped like a stone!

Yes I too had hoped the volatility would lessen but at least it's at a higher level and I'm in profit at last. If the forward guidance is accurate then the next results could be transformational.

Nothing in the half year report which is strange though they might be legally constrained from saying anything more. Pig sold for £977k can anyone remember how much was invested?

I haven't looked in here for a while but am surprised at the sp. I only have a relatively small holding but thought that when we went on ASX it would take off or at least that's what people said as the Aussies understood mining companies. Quite a fall today after the rns as well which is why I had a look as it doesn't seem to make sense. Luckily some of my other rare metal ones are progressing nicely but I'm a bit perplexed here.

July 2004 @ .017. Bought and sold 3 times so an overall solid profit and nearing my current b/e price o£5.76 so a reasonably happy bunny considering what might have happened. Didn't sell at 15 and bought at 9 when Shatter sold. Sometimes I'm not very good at this game

Good article in this week's Economist about China, rare earths and the west's actions to diversify. Mention s a couple of recycling companies but not mkango unfortunately. Well worth a read for an overview of where we are and where the future might lead.
