I have traded small amounts over the years so like you am now on a free ride so happy to sit and wait.
I guess with government now saying at least that it wants to keep strategic companies in UK hands any takeover candidate would more likely be AZ than one of the other big pharmas. Mind you that hasn't stopped them allowing the family silver to be sold off in the past so who knows?
Also waiting for news on Sareum which will either rocket or die a slow death. You pays your money.....

Trust you guys (non gender specific) are well.
Pleased to see this holding at these levels as if this is the new base then we might be in for a higher ride and goodness knows the hint of a dividend in the future. I am holding my remaining ones but am gratified to see I haven't lost the knack of selling before a rise!

We have all been there and sometimes the opposite - i.e. hanging on too long as I did with HUR, SXX and Flybe - so you would have to be a miracle worker or soothsayer to get them all right. Even GGP with hindsight should have sold at 37 and now bought back in but didn't. You just got to hope your calls are correct more often that they aren't after doing all the research you can as even that doesn't stop bad ones fttt

All shares are in one pot and your broker will have the average bought price listed. For CGT purposes you can report which shares you have bought and sold at what prices. You do not have to average them I believe but don't take my word for it.

I know virtually nothing about them I am afraid. I tend to invest in early ones like SAR and god help me VAL as well as N4P for example but they would be too rich for me at the moment especially with no dividend. OXB a better bet?

We seem to have been joined by a few more since our lonely vigil with Seaking1 as well over the years on this. Long may it continue. Pity I had to sell half of mine before this happened but something is afoot.
I am in SAR and things happening there as well. That is not a recommendation by the way just an observation.

Not all AIM shares are exempt from IHT and HMRC won't tell you until you claim which are and which aren't. Some finance houses have a list they say but they don't (in my experience anyway) provide it for free either so it's a bit of a lottery but certainly possible which it isn't on the main markets.

Nope. Haven't been anywhere at all lately but I do read about Mexico and its economy and its politics and when you have a president saying that the main electricity supplier must buy its oil from local and state owned companies first regardless of price and quality then you can see why fdi is way down and companies are nervous. Fres might be fine in that environment as obviously I have no inside knowledge but it might make some investors nervous.
It was just a thought.

I wonder how much uncertainty in Mexico is hitting this as well. Elections where AMLOs party might not do well; covid apparently not under control and a President who seems to prefer state owned companies to private ones. None of that can help.

No but am slightly perplexed by it.

Yes. Glad I am on a free ride here now awaiting the next spike I think.
I have banks and Aviva but am in miners and explorers as my risky ones plus a few in biotech/pharma but again the smaller risky ones rather than established.
Top slicing more than I have done in the past as I am getting more risk averse in my dotage. No sleepless night either. I guess we are both lucky in that respect.

I thought the current one should have ben paid yesterday

I have similar thoughts so am conflicted.
What else are you in to see if we have any others in common?
