Spoke too soon. Market certainly isn't pricing in expected good news. Not long to wait now and I assume they must make some forward looking statement which might enlighten us on where they are with AZ and the vaccine.

To ask a very simple question; what is the downside to buying more at 37p, getting the 7p and the BAR shares valued at 40p?
Seems too good to be true and if things seem that way usually they are.

I am not a finance expert so have no authority to say this but I believe from previous takeovers/mergers I have been involved in it is regarded as neutral by HMRC as we are merely swapping one thing for another. As my average is over twice the 47p cgt doesn't apply to me but if your average is less than the 7p might come into play.
Not very helpful, sorry, and there might be others who have the financial standing to be more sure about it. To reiterate I have no financial status and you should not rely on me.

I cant find anything either but they must be soon unless there is an extraordinary delay which won't do the share price any good.

That mey be why they are saying nothing about it though you would have thought it was significant enough for them to have to inform the market - but who knows - I certainly don't as exemplified by stupid buy at £9.80!

I am still here looking at the wreckage that is my shareholding in OXB.
Where did you find the reference to no more revenue from the vaccine as I thought AZ was pushing ahead with it even if it hasn't got US approval, but perhaps it is manufacturing it elsewhere.
I still haven't heard back from them on my questions on the vaccine so I guess all is not well. Given they ramped up production capability to provide it you begin to work if it hasn't got itself into a bit of a pickle and hence JD leaving and the current terrible share price.

The people who bought at 810 must be happy. Same at Sar where there were large investments at around 8p (before consolidation) by HNWIs and it is now just over 2p in old money. Its fall has been even more dramatic than OXB - from 9p to 2p in a few months; and even under 2p at one stage. Angle well down as well and VAL so my bio stocks languishing badly - as are most of the others to be honest.

As you know I have tried to get into the finances of OXB for years without much success as what they produce is pretty opaque on detail but it seems to me that if anything happened to the AZ contract they would be in great difficulty as it is hard to see alternative income covering these loan repayments.
SP still in the doldrums and I am still in the red!

Ukraine is absolutely tragic and getting worse so yes losing money on shares pales beside it but other than contribute to DEC or equivalent what can we do?
In this case I don't see this continued fall as part of the general market; there is something peculiar to OXB driving this. Obviously we don't know what it is but last September we were over £16 and now look where we are with the bod still saying they don't comment on sp movement. I think the silence on the vaccine is telling but what do I know. Last September AZ was not far off where it is now so it hasn't had this catastrophic fall..
Are we now at or below the consolidation price as if so that is some going!

What has caused this today?
It's a laugh that consolidation was supposed to reduce volatility (they are saying the same over at SAR where it did a same 50:1 on Monday) when we have had many days like this and a steady fall from the recent high.
I haven't heard anything from them about the vaccine so can only assume it is bad news otherwise they could surely have said something along the lines that things were going according to plan without giving any details.
Feel as if this is now not a good bet any more.

I had a very pleasant email response from Sonia which didn't say anything different to Hawkander so I have emailed back stating that other companies do put something out when they think sp movement is unwarranted so when OXB says nothing it can be a cause for concern.
In her response she listed the good things OXB were doing (as per Hawkander) but made no mention of vaccines and AZ so I asked for clarification on the state of the contract as it is now and going forward.
Given the nature of the first response I am hopeful of getting another one and perhaps one that might shed a bit of light.

All biotech shares being hit though this is one of the heaviest apart from Angle which for some completely inexplicable reason is down over 13% - a FDA leak perhaps that it isn't going to be approved???

I have emailed the corporate people so let's see if I get a response and how uninformative it will be if I do.

I am now well in the red which is something I never expected. Nor did I expect to lose £3 a share after my recent purchase. Perhaps we should all email OXB and ask what is going on or perhaps they are all looking to do a runner as well!

Angle down 9% today. 60% drop from its recent high as well.

We are going to be back to preconsolidation levels soon which is crazy given all the good things that have happened since then; but what is going on?
I know the board won't say anything but even they should be concerned at this huge drop from the recent high with no sign of it stopping. Either there is bad news around the corner or OXB has fallen out of fashion. All biotech seem to be taking a bashing today on the back of Synairgen but I thought we were in a better place than those early stage ones; but obviously not.
Mystified, perplexed and shocked to be frank.
