MOD aren't raising A$24m, they're raising 18m. At 1.75:1 exchange rate, that's just over �10m, so our contribution is �3m+. MTR don't need to raise funds to finance that.

Oh, right. All I've seen is the ask up a bit and the bid static since early on-no fluctuations-obviously missed all the excitement.

Dontpanick, that's the best post I've ever seen on here. I just had to laugh. But we are so lucky aren't we? We've got 2 things to look forward to now-MTR making us rich AND the Baggies winning their next 9 games for another Great Escape.

You're not on your own Dontpanick, I think it's 2 years since my first purchase and at these prices I'm hovering around break even-sometimes a bit up, sometimes a bit down. I just try to keep focussed on the bigger picture and derive what bit of satisfaction I can when I'm in profit. When it drops below 2p it is dispiriting but it can't last for ever and I reckon you'd kick yourself in 12mnths time if you sold out now, especially having weathered the ups and downs of the last 2 years. Look at it this way, it could be worse, you could be a West Brom supporter like me!

The only negative is the absence of the expected positive. The calling of a trading halt raised expectation levels, despite the clearly stated reason for the halt, so some people were expecting momentous news over and above what was received. Nonetheless, we're hanging on to some of the gains of the last couple of days and as long as we get no hugely disappointing assay results, then then the only way is up.

Could be because the big news day-if there is to be 1-is tomorrow isn't it?

This has been on the back burner for quite a while. Does the extra investment in Thor signal the end for Logrosan as far as MTR is concerned and if so does it have any value which could be realised? Anybody have any thoughts?

Well it seems like a fair few investors think something might well come to pass on Tuesday, judging by today. Let's hope for another good day on Monday and more of the same for the rest of the week!

I'm sure what you say, Inv123, about the coming months is right but the question I was trying to answer was is this halt just for a fund raise or, as has been suggested on here today, is there something else about to break on Tuesday

Paleje, financial services regulation in this country went awol when the FSA took it all in-house. Prior to that there was a decent system under which the various sectors-IFAs, stockbrokers, fund managers etc and those of the professions (lawyers, accountants, actuaries) who conducted regulated business all had their own regulator. When the FSA took it over it was regulation by box ticking-no hands on contact. Beaufort is the tip of a very big iceberg.

You and me both! I didn't think Delek would succeed at the first attempt, so hung on to my shares. Now unsure as to what to do. I've tried selling some on line with H-L but couldn't so still have them all-not a huge holding, 25k. I've held them a while so well in profit and will probably try later in week to sell again, but mainly because I just don't know how this is going to work out.

The status of the Board is what constitutes the major risk now. Hopefully Delek raise the offer to an acceptable level and we can sell up. Worst case scenario is the offer fails, Delek withdraw and we're left with a Board that doesn't have the confidence/trust of shareholders., with a serious impact on the SP. I don't think that will happen but it's a risk.

Well, £1.35 would be an improvement, and one which many might find acceptable even if still disappointing. I suppose Delek will win in the end, - it's a case of getting as much as possible out of them.

A deal at the offer price might be seen as dead but do you see Delek walking away without making a revised offer. I wouldn't see that as the likely outcome.
