You could be right , Chesh but the placing is still disappointing, not least because of the timing/being coincident with MOD's release of good news. First reactions have obviously been negative but I think the share price will recover by close today-perhaps not to 3.3 but not too far away. Still quite a shock for those that got sucked in by the ramping last week, tho'. Once the dust has settled I remain confident we'll see a gradual climb by the SP on further assay news and at least we should be safe from further annoying dilutions for the foreseeable future.

That's pretty much spot on for me. My average is almost 8p, I'm sorry to say, so need it to make a huge leep to break even. What I shall do when,(not if!!) it reaches that point, I'll decide at the time based on what the prospects look like for further gains, but I can see a lot of people jumping ship when they've made good their losses unless the prospects look mighty good.

I entirely agree Bonker. someone who posts at an average rate of 15 a day (over 4 and a half years), every day, high days and holidays, through sickness and in health, and spread over 16hrs a day looks pretty much like a pro to me. Or could that be several pros?

There's an incredible amount of optimism on here today-optimism which I share and which explains why MTR accounts for about half of my liquid assets. It's only that percentage and my instinctive reluctance to commit further that stops me investing even more. Consequently in my posts I can come across as negative sometimes and that brings me into conflict with some posters, one of whom accused me of having multiple identities, despite my posting rarely and, I would think, it being obvious to most on here that I am a relative novice at this game who by whatever means has got lucky. Some posters on here need to realise that others are, by nature, more cautious in their approach to life in general and will always have in the back of their minds the old saying "if something looks too good to be true...…". Then they might be less quick to attach labels to posters who express a more grounded opinion. There's only 1 poster on here I know anything about for sure and that's me! Consequently when somebody else jumps to conclusions about me on the basis of next to no knowledge of me , that person goes down in my opinion of him-indeed I might just start to think he is not all that he purports to be. If that person (and others who align themselves with him) seeks to portray himself as genuine and posting in the best interests of investors generally, I would suggest that he shoots less frequently from the hip.

HH, the logical conclusion of that argument, for me anyway, is that there are only 3 individuals posting on here-me, Noodle and the other names he uses and Bonkers and the other names he uses. Why can't everyone be left to make their own minds up about what is posted on here and who by?

surprisingly gloomy assessment Dontpanick. A lot of what you read on here has to be taken with a pinch of salt but B99's last post is right I think. The trouble with the last RNS was it was too complicated with too many unknowns for there to be immediate euphoria from the market. So the SP dips as investors who wanted something simple and wonderful sell up. In fact the RNS sets up the necessary base camp from which we can begin the ascent to the summit (or summits). The driver for the SP was always going to be a successful drilling campaign and any RNS that doesn't evidence that won't necessarily be well received, but I'm sure we don't have long to wait now and as someone said recently, "patience is a virtue".

If you want something to be gloomy about focus on the Baggies' prospects for next season!! I'm confident MTR will come good in the not too distant future.

Don't wish to irritate anybody, but if you're talking to, and presumably wanting to be understood by, everybody, including the relatively inexperienced (and I doubt I'm the only such person on here), then perhaps it's best to communicate in plain language, rather than one containing references foreign to some of your readers. Only trying to help, no offence intended..

He's been telling us it's a certainty for ages-when not if-and I didn't envisage the announcement at the AGM, rather 7 am that morning or even the previous afternoon after close. All just idle musing!

Is it not possible that LC has been told that the Tz Gov is happy to sign/grant the PPA/ SML and he's said "Jolly good, chaps, but can you just hang on to 'em a bit till our AGM and I can announce it that morning and bask in the glory when I'm centre stage in front of my delirious fans. If it's not done and dusted by then I think he will be expecting some serious, and justified, agro which I'm sure even he, with his rhino thick skin, would rather not face.

Hot Copper is worth a look this morning as there's a link by Fishinnick to an article about a new assay method which delivers results in minutes and with the capacity to do 50,000 assays a month. The problem for MOD/MTR tho', is that the facility is in Australia, but with plans to take it to Africa. Perhaps 1 of our more knowledgeable readers will have an idea about whether the facility will be any use to us.

Looks like 5m ish for the day and a whisker away from 3p for the bid. All good stuff, long may it continue.

Despite Bonkers' response to a post I made this morning, it seems to me that the market has seen this improved resource figure merely as an incremental move in the right direction, more consolidation rather than anything to celebrate with a significant rise in the SP. This resource upgrade has been talked about and expected for weeks and played its part in the sp rise to where we are now. It's helped us hold onto our current price in a falling market today, but to take us up to the next rung on the ladder we need some exciting "new" news. I don't doubt it will come soon, just not today.

Potential investors here will have to be more impressed than those down under, (if we're going to hit 3p) where MOD is currently up only 3.5%. I'd have thought the news would have been better received, - I suppose they want new discoveries rather than more news on the "old" one.

If there's 1 thing I've learned in my relatively short time invested in Kibo, it is that nothing and nobody is ever "spot-on"!!!

Nothing from MOD again this morning. Strange, especially as at the Walsall presentation in May the upgrade was still expected in June as had been previously stated. Not much of June left now.
