Dontpanick, I suspect you and I have more in common than just our allegiance to the Baggies. My loss to date is much the same as yours and I probably started buying at a similar price and time to you. We probably have a similar number of shares. I have "down in the dumps" days as well but overall I remain confident that we shall see some very worthwhile gains here in the not too distant future. We just have to be even more patient, but it is bl**dy frustrating and annoying at the moment.

Just tried a dummy sale on HL and only offered 1.12, so spread based on the 1 purchase this morning is huge. I'd have thought the spread would be more normal-not nearly 17%

Question is what's up for sale-just the T3 project (which might explain why MOD is concentrating on the in-filling rather than wider targets) or the whole company.

That's a pleasant surprise. I was beginning to think Spain was a write off. As someone said last week I think, the "next" news often arrives completely unexpectedly. Let's hope there's more to come from some direction to breathe some life back into the SP.

Wasn't there a distinction made between T3 project i.e. the "mine" and the wider T3 outside the area of the project? We retain an interest in the former only via our MOD shares but retain our 30% interest in the latter as we always have done. At least that's what I recall but my recall might be less than "Total"!

Our KML JV will undoubtedly require funding when the drilling starts in earnest there, and I can't see MTR being able to fund 2 campaigns-with KML & MOD-,by means of share issues so I have to conclude that the MOD campaign, for whatever reason , will cease to require the type of fund raising we've become used to, leaving MTR to devote any new share issue funds, if any are necessary to the KML drilling. In a nutshell I think the days of the MOD JV are numbered and at some time in the not too distant future MTR will be receiving a decent amount of cash to finance their share of either or both drilling campaigns. Hope that makes sense but I'm sure someone will set me straight if not!

The HL figures I quoted WERE from dummy trades. The point I was making was that the figures displayed here-and on HL as well actually- bore no resemblance to the real figures. What I don't get is why the large discrepancy on the bid price and also why it apparently dropped from 1.40 to 1.25 after such small volume sells. .

I've no idea what's going on but the actual spread is 1.35-1.47 on the HL site, so the bid displayed here is fiction.

Thanks JS, although I'm not sure I follow your reasoning. I'm not convinced an orderly rerate is going to happen any time soon although I'd be very happy to see it.

Spread is actually 1.28/1.33 on HL so those 2 deals this morning are buys not sells-must be MM's idea of April fool's prank!

And I have to agree with Taylot, as least as far as MOD getting involved with the MTR/KML venture. I am less sure, however , that MOD will sell up. Nothing's is cast in concrete yet and MOD could still opt to build the mine or at least be a part of that with A N Other, which would mean further exploration being put on the back burner. The more attractive proposition for me is for MOD to sell up pocket the cash and start again with MTR/KML. I can't see any downside to that but MOD don't have to go that way.

Let's hope we can see the SP making progress during the week in anticipation of a good RNS at the end of the week.

misunderstanding, the actual spread is 1.40/1.45, so that 700k deal is a buy. Same applied to many of yesterday's reported "sells"
