Re tax on options .... whenever I have received share options, no tax has been payable when I have taken up the option......the only tax due will normally be Capital Gains Tax on disposal. Naturally, this will depend on how Avacta have structured these particular options.
Nothing new but good to see the message getting across...https://www.news24.com/amp/fin24/companies/bushveld-minerals-hails-outcome-of-us-probe-seeking-to-restrict-vanadium-exports-20210803
.....I see some comments that they may have received confirmation that they can list on Nasdaq, but I can't see any proof of this. Anyone confirm or know anything different that may be causing the rise? Thanks.
Setcentric - I appreciate the enthusiasm, but these are Friday's prices as its a Chinese National holiday today (I made the same mistake earlier). I have a feeling that the rises will continue this week however :)
Further sale confirmed today :

...also confirms that the reason for the sale of its stake is to fund Enorex.
Apologies if already posted - this came out yesterday, and is in addition to a further allegation a couple of weeks ago.....

"Two other women have come forward to Bloomberg News with claims about Odey’s behavior: one is a former receptionist at his firm, who says Odey ran his hand down her back when she was at work, and the other a client who was asked by Odey to be his mistress during the course of a business dinner more than a decade ago"
Although AsianMetal.com have updated thier website since last Monday, I think we should remember that Chinese New Year celebrations do not conclude until today (Lantern Day). Perhaps we will get a clearer idea of Vanadium prices next week?
Have now updated thier prices:

I note that they show the same % increase as Asian Metal did this morning, so I'm not convinced that they are a true reflection of current prices, as the Asian markets have just re-opened, and data may be scarce. I'm interested to see how the prices settle down over the next few days........
Hi, looks as though my previous post has disappeared - apologies if this is subsequently duplicated.
Asian Metals haven't updated prices since last Friday - from memory, I don't think they will update now until after Chinese New Year, near the end of the month. Can anyone confirm this please?
Thanks Somtam.....these are last weeks prices. If Pat48 was also looking at this I suspect that these will not be updated now until after Chinese New Year, towards the end of the month. However, I would appreciate confirmation if anyone knows whether this is normally the case in prevoius years? Thanks.
Investor81 - if that is directed at me, I have held since 2018, this is actually the largest holding in my portfolio currently, and I fully intend to keep holding for the long term. However, I try just to share observations that I have that I feel may be relevant.
