Years ago I put some money into a penny share company called Protherics. It was an uninformed unresearched novice investor punt!

It became one of my success stories when the company was bought by BTG which eventually delisted from the FTSE in favour of the USA.

As Sath worked previously for BTG, I am going to look at this as a “lucky” coincidence to support my confidence in Scancell despite my initial thought that he has held a lot of positions over his 15 years in the industry making me wonder if he can hold a job down!…Hmmmm! 🤔

They don’t even have an office!! They borrow space for meetings so it will be interesting to see what they are spending on lease / rent and office equipment!

They are still including “Hispanic” in the company description but have dissolved the name they registered with Companies house back in April!!

Anyone thinking of putting there hard earned in here need to be diligent when researching this pile!

Expecting and getting are worlds apart…AST is a dud!!. Expect more fundraising as the salaries paid eat up any cash runway left!

Amur’s due diligence probably shocked their board into withdrawing their interest.

Although having had a look at Amur’s history I think they would make great bedfellows!

The balance of probability here is that investors will lose despite the hype from Parsons et al!!

For the first time I have gone to “Hold” from “Strong Buy”

I am still a believer but something seems disingenuous with this now.

How have we gone from the mouse comment “Tumours melting away” and the euphoria that came with that comment, to a rapidly sliding SP?

Does the market know something, or is it that “44% stable” is not dramatic enough and big pharma have already decided against bidding and people know that there is no blockbuster deal in the offing at this time.

I don’t know what it is but until there is something more dramatic than the recent RNS, I don’t see any upward price movement but I will continue to hold and hope Crackin’s predictions aren’t so accurate! 🤔

I think that AB’s comment “I think many on this bb will be disappointed if the results from the current trials are only good, rather than spectacular.” is pretty accurate.

From a lay persons view, I don’t see anything spectacular in either of the Posters presented this year which is slightly puzzling when you match them against the language of “Tumours melting away” and “I’ve never seen anything like it” or “the next RNS will blow you away”……I have paraphrased but hopefully you get my drift.

If Modify was “spectacular” in its current trials, news would have leaked a lot more than it has to date.

So, I will take “good” if we cannot have “spectacular” and I will temper my expectations of millions as a return on my investment…..but if they could just hurry up and get on with it!! 😁

Content aside, it was not a visually stimulating poster and from that perspective perhaps not media attractive.

Is this the equivalent of tumours “melting away” in mice? I am asking as the results in humans to date don’t seem to be as dramatic.
I admit I am not in any way medically scientific and probably missing the point but the statement in the RNS does not to my mind seem as encouraging as some of the rhetoric on here although I remain optimistic, I am perhaps less so.

A piece in the Wall Street Journal on Moderna down 5% after negative trial news on their MRNA flu vaccine.
Maybe they might take a look at SCLP for an alternative approach….It’s all guesswork so who knows?…:-D

I wonder if there is a negative impact with Covidity having stalled or it being shelved.
I also wonder if the “science” of Covidity is out there in the line of sight of those big players eying up some of that 5 Billion.

On 25th October last year Scancell RNS’d the Genmab deal and the share price was 15.4p…so with all those millions in upfront etc the share price just now is 15.25p…that is weird…isn’t it?

I know I will be hammered for this post but need to say it!
I recently offered to take some fresh veg and tinned food to a food bank. It took me a while to find the food bank on the internet and was told not to bring “ fotiegn food” like chick peas, hommous or aubergines but oven ready chips and tins of beans would be good!
It made me hesitate but I did take stuff down because I really believe they mean well!
When I got there, there was a family, at the front of the queue, wearing latest designer trainers, on their iPhones, with very expensive tattoos and expensive gold chains that were being very selective / demanding I about what the food bank was offering. The three children were obese, like their parents and they had arrived in a seven year old Mercedes.
I really tried to be sympathetic but I worked everyday of my life, survived war and hardship and do not now believe that most families are as desperate as the media makes out.
I have determined that I will look at individual circumstances before I donate again!
When the Scancell ship does come in, I will make every effort to include deserving people in the help I will offer but will be extremely wary of those fat people pretending to be hungry and in reality are poncing off the rest of us…… I make no apologies!!]

“ Ascent Resources Plc (LON: AST), the onshore Caribbean, Hispanic American and European focused natural resources company, is pleased to announce an update on its ESG Metals strategy, introducing Peru as its primary target geography alongside the signature of a Joint Venture agreement with Peru-based Blanco Safi SAC to collaborate on the identification and subsequent development of precious and base metal rich tailing and processing operations.”

No mention of Ascent on the Blanco Safi website!…and no mention of the agreement since January 2022.…and no mention of the Cuba operation!…seriously, if you are thinking of investing here do your research on the claims made and take a long look at the track records of the Directors.

The Cuba operation never got off the ground! I believe the two month extension of the MOU expired in January 2022.
These shysters then claimed that Peru was their primary focus but not a peep since early 2022.. do some research and then decide if It’s a sham company led by fraudsters claiming to be invested in Hispanic and Caribbean operations.

Burble, Chester, I get your points and do not disagree as you are both well informed on Scancell but given everything you have said, why is there not a positive reaction to the SP?…it cannot all be down to PR!…something is holding it back if the potential is so great!… I don’t know what it is but like many here I am looking forward to the breakout RNS and remain holding strong.
Chester, I am not at all down about it and I certainly don’t worry or fret, I am just curious. You will maybe note that I don’t spend too much of my time here as I have many other interests that fill my day!…:-D

I am wondering why the SP is static or in decline given that most posters here are so optimistic and clearly believe that our product(s) are the pathway to untold wealth so I had a bit of time this morning to have a look into it. I googled, searching for companies that currently have treatments in phase 11 trials and it led me to a CRUK page “find a trial” where there is a list of 265 in trial. A quick look showed that not all are trialling treatments, it included some “associated” trials but nevertheless, a significant amount of companies and universities are actively looking for Cancer cures…without banging on too much I have concluded, in my own mind, that Scancell is not as unique as I thought and while our “science” in itself is unique it is one of many and that we are, possibly, in a race of sorts with first place getting the biggest and best prize, second place, not so much but still rewarding. Third place….etc. etc!
I am not trying to be negative, just trying to understand as an investor (and gambler) what my chances are of getting first place in “the race” and the honest answer is I don’t know!…so I am left with stating the obvious…only positive official news will move the SP and if we end up in first place then the prize will reflect that. If we are lower down the order the rewards will be less but maybe still worthwhile.

The RNS states “Beryl International” but I cannot find it!. There is another company called “Beryl Group” in South Africa.
I haven’t tried very hard due to my personal time constraints today but I cannot seem to find any accounts for this company and very little info on the proposed new board member.
Something really smelly here…Parsons still calling the company Hispanic when there is no working interest in those countries now taking S.A. money through further dilution. a million quid over a year will not do anything except pay salaries!!!!
