Conrad02 is right, it's not worth answering him and his pal New80... they are empty vessels making the most noise on this BB but would wager that if they are genuine investors they will be as quiet as church mice at the AGM....if they even bother to attend!!!

New80, you run your own business but don't seem to recognise the importance of a CEO in Risk management! Are you sure you run your own business or is it just your imagination? You have an opinion that the SR was a charade but you have no evidence for that, just your imagination...in fact all of your diatribe is based on unproven accusations. If you are at the AGM, I hope you have the courage to voice your accusations, with any evidence so that you can get some clarity on what you believe is real against what you imagine. To answer your question, I don't have my own business, I am now retired but worked for decades in the O&G industry, on and offshore, in many parts of the world, many of which were / are more challenging than Slovenia. I have a technical understanding of the business and a high level of understanding of Risk Management. You can tell me to "go away" again if it makes you feel good...but I won't!!

I have asked previously but will try again. What do those of you looking to replace, or restructure, the BOD propose as a realistic and viable alternative? Where will you find a credible CEO in the O&G industry that will work for little money or only on a performance based return. Who would manage the Slovenian permitting authorities any better. Which aspects of the current strategy would you change that would facilitate or accelerate progress? I will be at the AGM and will resist any change unless I can see the options that the anti BOD shareholders propose have any credibility. Significant change to personnel or the current strategy, at this critical time, will put my / our investment at risk. The constant bleating of some posters here is probably damaging the SP but I cannot be sure. What I know is that the disrespect of some, who clearly are enraged at their paper loss is to me unacceptable. Childish misspelling of names and repetitive accusations of greed and misinformation is coming from a hatred of individuals by immature gamblers on AIM who believe they are entitled to win when they place their bets. Take the emotion out and take a balanced and clear view of your options. If you are unable to do that, I suggest you dry your eyes, cut your losses and get out of this volatile but potentially lucrative share!

Good recognition that CH does have skin in the game, albeit not invested with his own money! It indicates that he is risk averse but that doesn't mean he doesn't have confidence in the company.

Boring and repetitive post from Duster....jeeez! Tiresome or what? I wonder who he would nominate to replace CH. I would guess at someone who would work for free!!! Reality check Duster, AST is a difficult company to manage in the environment it has to operate in!

CD is a non contributor to any of the meetings I have attended over the last couple of years. You do realise that he is the Chairman of the remuneration committee of Ascent. His committee set and approve the salaries of the BOD which is causing such fury with some of the contributors to this BB...c'mon pal...have another go!

I know I am repeating myself but only because I don't see a structured response. Calling an EGM to replace current (recently formed BOD) only makes sense if there is a viable option with a coherent strategy. Just removing personnel will not resolve the current impasse with permits. Different personnel will not magically get us the permits. The call for an EGM without a strategy for improving the SP is foolish and could irreversibly damage our investment. If a genuine, achievable alternative is proposed, I would consider supporting it. However, I will not risk my investment on the basis of other investors fury at individuals on the BOD because things aren't going the way they expected when they invested...we have all gambled but we haven't lost yet....too much emotion here in my not so humble opinion!!

All of you who are calling for CH's head are not offering an alternative acceptable option, except a couple suggesting John Buggenhagen......ok, if you think it will benefit the SP, do some research. I have, in previous posts, commented that I have reservations about JB, which have been ignored but do your own research!... I am not doubting his skills as a COO but I am suggesting you look at his track record with San Leon, Palomar Natural Resources, and Aspect Energy before you promote him to CEO out of desperation or frustration. All of these are private companies with excellent potential buuurtt...especially with Palomar, have a look. If you are still convinced that JB is the man then I am sure you will continue with your intentions but removing the Slovenian experience prior to potential permits for someone who has jumped from a seemingly lucrative ownership of PNR seems a bit short sighted to me! Hey but what do I know?...maybe I could guess at permits on 17th May...but what do I know??

I too have made some decent returns trading this stock. I am a LTH but used 50% of my holding to dip in and out and perhaps been lucky with my timings. Done it despite the rantings of the furious deramping losers like Duster, New80 and New_2 etc. I believe they do damage the value as II's, PI's etc read these BB's....not sure if it affects their judgement and I know Algo's are not affected but if these Losers are holders then they are naive at best and foolish at worse...Aaaah...there ya go!...I've got it!!!...a fool and his money are soon parted!!

Without a credible alternative, will have institutional investors (if there are any) dumping stock. Emotion such as anger because you didn't get rich quick and frustration at the slow progress caused by government agencies will not achieve anything. Keep calm! Courage and patience will be rewarded. I realise it is dependent on permits and improved production (which is why I am invested here) but I believe we are edging, albeit slowly, towards these. While I have reservations about John Buggenhagen, the BOD seems more balanced now than before and there is a better defined strategy in place!...although I know many don't agree,
I am yet to here what any plans are from the anti Colin brigade. Wailing and gnashing of teeth will not get you a return on your investment...if you are still holding.

Tinpot, that Palomar website has not been updated since 2016. There is no real substance to it. What has happened to Palomar after what seems to have been a lucrative deal struck with the the Polish state gas company?
JB has held senior positions in several O&G companies in Poland and previously the US. I expect he does'nt come cheap he was co-owner / founder of Palomar, previously an executive with San Leon, who gave up their Polish gas licences to Palomar. why has he left....or has he? Was Palomar one of the companies involved in the strategic review? (If they exist) was JB allowed access to the data room during the Strategic Review?..something seems odd with the timing of JB joining AST after the "failed" SR....maybe a good thing for AST...or maybe not!...???

No....it's not at all interesting....focus on AST in Slovenia not on UK issues...if you want to do that, bail out of AST and put your money in Fylde, UKOG or others....or are you not 2sure about anything!!

To expand further. JB was an executive with San Leon (A US based Oil & Gas explorer) Palomar Natural Resources which JB co-founded bought San Leon's Gas licences in Poland. JB surfaced in AST after the strategic review! Was JB in the data room for Palomar at that time? Did he see something that made him join AST or is he a "Trojan Horse"?...more questions than answers here!!

I was at the meeting when JB was introduced to attending shareholders. I, along with others was impressed with his apparent knowledge and enthusiasm......buuurt as I have previously commented, I have some concerns about his previous roles, specifically with his last position as co-founder of Palomar Natural resources. PNR appeared to be in position A in Poland after acquiring Polish gas licences from an American company San Leon. PNR then had a contract with their Polish partners Polish National Gas company the state owned gas producers to sell gas to Poland.sounds like JB hit the jackpot. However I cannot find much on the current situation of Palomar which JB owned. I am unsure as to why he is associated / employed by AST....can anyone shed any light on this...I am sure we would all appreciate it.

Hulie you are confusing appeasement with caution. If you can nominate alternative credible leadership for AST and propose an alternative credible strategy to deliver permits and improve production other than that currently in place I would support you...let's hear it!
