We all know the Permits are the key to this high risk stock but I don't get why you feel it's beyond repair due to the actions of CH. I know the dilutions have upset many investors but still we have a debt free company with an asset value of £200mil+ which could significantly increase, depending on the outcome of the reworked seismic. The compression skid will improve production / income, which will buy us time to implement the current strategy in place to move forward with yet you think it is beyond repair! High risk yes but plenty to be positive about. Courage and patience rather than fear, anger and insults!!

Best sell up then Daywalker....if you are holding that is!

One of my investment criteria, especially on AIM, is "no debt" although there are few opportunities but AST is one. I can stand dilution if the strategy improves the SP. if we dilute to support continued operation, in hand with permits being granted, then I am ok with that as the SP will rise. In addition, if the revised seismic data adds asset value, then we will all be on a winner but permits are the bet!...there is plenty of potential downside, so if you are risk averse bail out now!!!. Personally, I have voted to agree all resolutions because as I stated before, I like the way things are going now!...I really, really hope that doesn't upset anyone! :-D

New80, the least emotional post you have written. I agree the asset is there but I think we are worlds apart on how to realise the value but radical change will destabilise the value. I am of the view that if permits had been granted a year ago, we would not be having this "chat". Continual negativity on the BOD is not helping the SP. Failing to see that the permits are outside of the BOD control is resulting in **** attitudes on this BB. AST will deliver value but only if Slovenia help the cause. The compression skid will improve production but nowhere near what the stimulation permits would do...it's as simple as that!....it don't matter who is the CEO..it's about the permits and fk all else!!

This no nothing fckwit New80 hasn't got a clue. If he thinks voting no to all resolutions will improve AST he is advocating financial suicide and blow the company out of existence. Voting no to all resolutions would stop the company operating...As I said in my previous post, I like the way things are going. There is more to be positive about than not and if we get the co-operation of the Slovenian agencies, I believe this share will reward us. This dullard clearly has nothing, or very little, invested here..ignore him!...get to the AGM and listen to what will be said and make your own minds up based on what you hear. Don't be Lemmings following the derampers on here!

I couldn't be arsed to look at your history but if you invested in the last 12 months you are going to be wealthy, relative to how much you invested!....if you invested over 3 years ago you might struggle in the short term..but keep the faith, there are enough signals to suggest that if we get the permits and the asset value improves you might feel that you should apologise for your deramping posts....... if not....sit in your dark and dismal world of negativity and do one!! :-D, :-D

Your post today at 1726hrs. was a reminder and is appreciated. It clearly indicates that we are in Slovenian hands and reliant on them sticking to their guidelines for completing the process in 2 months. However, guidelines are not a legal requirement. The appointment of a New Minister is possibly good news but there ain't no guarantees! That said, I have been adding to my holding recently with the understanding that it is still a high risk share. My bet is primarily on the permits eventually being granted but adding in the compression skid and potential added asset value from the awaited JB report or results of his work. Just as an add on, I am with Stockdale in enjoying the frustration, fury, rage and childish insults of the over invested idiots who believe they have a divine right to automatic profits on AIM and blaming everyone else for their own decision to sit at the gaming table and shout "deal"...I will be at the AGM and will vote for all resolutions as I like the way this is going....I hope that doesn't upset anyone !!!! :-D :-D :-D

New80, Forget CH salary it's not that important in the wider scheme of things (it is still less than £160,000...check the company accounts). Can you clarify for me what deadline has been missed? Is it for the issuing of permits or is it the deadline for ARSO to respond to AST's appeal against the requirement for an EIA? Please let me know!.....either way, it's not AST or CH that has missed the deadline, it is ARSO for the permits and the Environmental Minister for the EIA appeal decision.

I just had another look at the AST accounts for last year. CH still got paid £159,804 but you are still focussed on 400k. Also checked my previous posts to see if I made a statement saying it was ok to pay CH 400k!! I couldn't see anything I wrote that remotely suggested that. You are robustly confirming that you don't or cannot deal with facts!

New80, my post was to correct your exaggerated description of CH salary. Now you are interpreting my comments to say everyone should get performance pay regardless of how well they performed....that is not what I said! Read my post again, read it slowly so that it registers with you. It is clear you don't deal in facts but just take and twist information to suit your deramping approach. I believe in a previous post I informed you that I don't have a business, I am retired...but you must have read that one quickly too...as it has not registered with you!.. you need to start understanding facts and respond with a clear understanding of what is being said. You may then become a more valued and intelligent contributor to this BB and subsequently we may read less of your emotional and distorted tripe you continually post here.

New80...why the lies on CH salary? His remuneration is transparent in the Annual report (£159,804 for 2018). Yes he has share options like many other companies have and yes if he gets the SP up he will be rewarded but so will us as investors. A definition of share based compensation "Companies compensate their employees by issuing them options or restricted shares. The shares typically vest over a few years, meaning, they can not be sold by the employee until they have reached their vesting date. If the employee quits the company before the shares are vested, they forfeit those shares. As long as the employee stays long enough with the company, all of their shares will vest, which they can sell and thus convert into cash".
Your focus on CH salary just demonstrates your anger and envy. Get over it!

Daywalker...new poster, no problem but look at the facts and fundamentals, don't get caught up with Duster, new80 newt2 and other sore losers. They expected to be rich on AIM and "called and raised" too much. Blaming their own poor judgement on the BOD failings. BOD are not perfect and have made some poor decisions but they are working in a difficult environment.
Remuneration is another sore point for the aforementioned losers but do some research on salaries in the O&G industry and then identify a competent CEO who understands the Slovenian business environment who would be an asset to the. Company...do not mention JB unless you can provide your research on his past performance and integrity.... I hope he is the real deal.. but I have some reservations based on not understanding which companies he is still connected to ...or not!... essentially the bet is permits! .... nothing else justifies investment. Sit at the table and see your hand out.

Stockdale, I agree except for not believing they won't say yes to the permits. If the appeal against the requirement for an EIA is successful, the permits should follow. However, I understand that nothing is certain but that is the gamble for staying with this share. I also agree that the compression skid is required to improve production but that can only be a temporary solution and like other contributors to this BB I feel AST has been a bit tardy with implementing this but better late than never! It will keep us in business until and if the permits are granted.

My own view would be to hold on the threat of court proceedings until we have a definitive response on the permits.
If the permits are declined, I sincerely hope they are not, then we would need to fully understand why. If the "why" was not based on facts or on a failure to follow process then we prosecute. If we get the permits and I sincerely hope we do, then we review our basis for a claim which would then possibly only be based on the delay factor and not a refusal of permits. I know it's hard to bear the current treatment of AST by the Slovenian agencies but I would urge continued patience and courage....we all know the permits are the key to unlocking the value here....and probably the reason most of us are invested here.

Do you honestly believe we would be successful in prosecuting an individual who can claim that the vagaries of a trading market can affect a share and not just the actions of one person. Take a bite of reality... it ain't 't gonna happen!
It would be a losing bet. Action against a country / government would also fail. Even though we have been badly treated we are unlikely to beat down a government who can call on virtually unlimited resource! Focus should be with the permit approvals and current arguments on stimulation against perceived fracking. Not being negative just trying to bring a touch of reality.The bet for most of us is that permits should / will be granted. Standfast, hold ground, we may still be on a winner here..I'm still backing it!

misiekm, no offence intended but it beggars belief that you ask that question at this stage of the game. It has been made abundantly clear on this BB and on the AST website and on presentations and at shareholder meetings. If you are invested you should have done research and kept up to date with the progress of this share. Permit applications have been made for the two wells pg10 and pg11a, not for any of the other wells in the field.
I did ask Colin at a shareholder meeting over a year ago if we should be applying for the additional permits and to paraphrase him, they did not want to over complicate the process and preferred to wait until the two permits were obtained...I am guessing that this would then set a precedent for a successful application for the other wells...I am sure they did not realise at the time how long the process would take.

Stockdale, I agree!..issues such as BOD remuneration, perceived historical mistakes and investors emotional outbursts are of no interest to me. I am, I believe, of the same view as you and that is I am in this share purely on the gamble that the well stimulation permits arrive. The asset value currently underpins the existence of AST. The permits, if they arrive, will realise the value....over simplification?...maybe!
