LC81, Two weeks ago you indicated you had written to the FCA and the Serious Fraud Office on your perception that the BoD had committed offences. Today, you have indicated that the FCA is taking an interest. What is your basis for claiming that?....give us some vidence of your communications, or are you just bull****tin'and it is all part of your deramping rants?

I am sure we are all interested in the outcome of your communications with the financial authorities!!

New_2...it’s because you haven’t come up with a viable, realistic and deliverable alternative. You keep sounding off out of anger....instead, tell us who you would replace BoD members with and why. What strategy would you adopt to maximise the Asset value?...I doubt much can be done and to just remove the Board would be to put the company into liquidation.
I am not happy but I still hold out some hope, perhaps optimistically, that there is value in the asset and we may yet see some return at some point... I am still believing that courage and patience is needed here not anger and insults!...I could be wrong but my current opinion is to hold fast....mainly because we have no choice other than to go down your proposed route and sink the company with no trace!!

Misiekm, I get your point and concede we are in trouble but if we ignore the snipers there is a slight chance we may turn positive but “killing” the current situation is not wise as the company will be the victim and we will all lose. There is nothing to lose really so why not let it go and see what happens?

Not on this BB misiekm, I have however, held 0.18% of this company for nearly five years so you will know that I am on a large loss but I knew the risk of investing in an O&G minnow, did my research and understood the risk. Having worked in the industry for over 30 years, I had some knowledge of what happens to small, poorly funded expro companies. AST is not yet dead in the water but it is distressed. It may or may not recover but I won't cry about it and I won't blame others. AIM investing will always be risky. If you can't take the heat......!!!

Scott1092...the stuck tool was an operational incident. The fundraising can be demonstrated as complying with due process. The 3D review maybe not fully completed so it's only guesswork on your part that they are "sitting on it" Financials will show all incoming and expenditure...it's all a bit circumstantial and anger driven, you don't really have a solid case. Your anger has interpreted everything to convince you that you are right....but hey, maybe I am wrong...who knows?

So it's true! There is a takeover in the offing!....New_2 is going to manage the company with his expertise and opinion because he is not happy that he is not getting weekly updates from the current BoD....what a pompous tw*t!!!
AST is a high risk share and has been since it's inception...Good research would have made that clear to those who were not prepared for potential loss.
Accusations of lies and fraud will be exceptionally difficult to prove. Outside influences have pushed AST to take different paths at various times, that is just business. Don't get me wrong, I am unhappy with progress but still optimistic on Asset value. I am not prepared to support an EGM unless those agitating for it make clear what the objectives would be and show a realistic and viable strategy to achieve those objectives rather than an anger driven and damaging talking shop. Courage and patience are what is needed here for genuine LTH's.
