Speedy G, when I registered, I submitted a question in writing... I also pressed 01 during the call to join the “queue” to ask a question. Ignored on both counts!!... some saddo whinged about “Oilman Jim”... not the place or time. If it wasn’t for that moan I would have said the whole event was a set up!!!!..it had the feel of a programmed robot reciting data inputted!!...Yawn!!

Happy to be corrected but Scancell need funding to progress or even continue to exist so I believe there will be fundraising which is not necessarily a bad thing.
A successful non dilutive fundraise or news that the university has / will receive funding will mean a spike in the SP.
I am not invested yet as I think a general market correction is on the cards, which could lower this further but my war chest is ready...trying to call this right to maximise returns .....but as someone already noted this is AIM so nothing guaranteed!!

Despite promising myself not to get involved in AIM stock, I cannot help being interested in this company.
I have done my research and have some doubts based on the fundamentals and the requirement to fundraise. However, I was interested pre covid and believe that while risky, there is some evidence to say that Scancell could be successful on it's work for Cancer treatments alone. A successful result with a vaccine gives this potential massive upside and therefore worth a punt!.. Predicting the right time to buy in is always the tricky bit but I am going to wait as I believe we will shortly see a market correction to the downside after this "V" recovery!!!...yep! I may miss out if good news comes before the correction but I will buy in on the dip if it happens!! GL to all current holders.

The Labour Party was indeed responsible for implementing the principles of the "cross party" beveridge report written in 1942 (Sir William Beveridge was a Liberal politician) Sociallist governments have done many good things in the past but Labour in the UK currently seem incapable at the moment of putting a coherent strategy together. A good example of the current situation was on Andrew Marr's show this morning. Anneliese Dodds, Labour shadow Chancellor, unable to answer questions on Labour plans and costings for social care but reverting to attacking the government compared with Simon Stevens, head of NHS England, answering with knowledge and integrity, questions on NHS performance and future plans...go compare!!

Navaho, just for perspective... back in the 70's I was a trade union rep. I resigned due to blatant corruption within the union I belonged to. We were on strike and collecting sympathetic public contributions. Senior members of the union took the public contributions and to cut a long story short were eating and drinking in good restaurants during the strike where members had no income and were suffering. Post strike action, I challenged the union on this and was told by the union leader that I would never be able to prove it. For years I still remained a staunch socialist and believed in the principle. As I matured in years I started to realise that I was only believing in a mantra and so, with many others, this election I voted for a party that I believe wants a more equal society... at least not one that has constantly presented themselves on an ideal that cannot be realised. If you do not realise that the working class need inspirational and innovative business leaders to join us in a partnership that benefits all of us you are not being rational. Disappointingly, your response reminds me of the 70's.... a typical left winger that will, if somebody disagrees with them, will resort to juvenile insults... I know I will not be able to change your mind but many, like me have realised the futility of being left of centre in politics.... if you need proof of that then look at the ruling party majority. This is not a comment on AST but it is a comment on your derogatory and insulting response.

Retrosec, why don’t you give them your direct number so that they can call you everyday and update you with the office temperature, what they are having for lunch, or what they are doing the weekend!..when there is significant news, we will all know at the same time! Stop bleating and STFU!!

Twistor, For the sake of accuracy and to state the facts not "fake news". There were no RNS's issued on the 14th April. There was a News article in the press on the 14th April that stated AST had made a statement about litigation in Slovenia and about investing in Cuba. If anyone is interested, you can tap the "AST Share News" icon at the top of this LSE page and read it but it is not an RNS.
There was an RNS on the 24th March advising of AST's intent on Cuba so we knew about Cuba before litigation funding was withdrawn!...stick to the "facts" and leave the drama to those who are good at it!

Whatever!!..the outcome was the same!... I would question the timings you assert " exact same time" .... I don't think so!...sounds like a bit of fake news to me!.. not exactly factual!!!... Final outcome is we will not pursue legal action as we ain't really got a strong enough case! ... an EIA was always needed and before you emotionally disturbed basket cases out there start, look at facts not fiction FFS!!

Twistor, I have no idea why the LOI was pulled but if I were to guess, they found, or saw, something that made them decide it was not worth the risk so cut their losses at an early stage....if true, it supports my view but I am not sure we will ever know!

I am not happy with most, if not all, of what has happened to AST and have written off hopes of recovering my initial and what I consider, substantial investment.
However, I find it tiresome to read posts urging legal action. Those posters continually baying for blood need to provide us with concrete evidence that would support the idea that there has been a failure in duty of care or evidence of fraud or other nefarious deeds by past and present boards. I feel the pain but imagining that a court would find against AST with no "proof" of wrongdoing just because you are emotionally invested and, like me, pi##ed off with events, demonstrates that you have lost your grip on reality!..in addition, without strong and irrefutable evidence you will lose a bunch of cash.. if you have the money to employ legal expertise then go ahead but you know you will lose it. So either show us the actual evidence, not the hearsay or opinion.... or zip it!!

Bought these at an historic low during the financial crisis 2008/09 and overtime moved them all into a self select Shares ISA and captured tax free dividends. Couldn't be happier and will also add at sub 30p and stay as a LTH ...and look forward to a resumption of dividends at some point!! IMO this is a no brainer for me but would add I don't always get it right!!..I think my Crystal ball has a crack in it!! :-D

"For interest, one of the four questions asked "live" was in ref to J. Buggenhagen (self promoted saviour of AST?) being retained as a consultant.. AD confirmed it was a consultancy to inherit legacy knowledge that was for a couple of hours per week for 3 months so a total of 2 weeks of consultancy over 3 months before being terminated.
A good question posed ref what happened to the last two cash raises prior to the new boards recents...........the answer which had an element of integrity was that although the money was raised with good intent, it was instead used (absorbed) to keep the company running, which I interpreted as running costs and salaries."

Retrosec, In your post today you asked two questions, one about the money and the other about JB. However, both these questions were two of the four questions asked and comprehensively answered in the last conference call. On the 24th May, you chastised people on here for not dialling in, indicating that you had dialled in yourself. If you did dial in, which I now seriously doubt, you would know the answers.....so why are you asking again?...something not quite ringing true about you!!!

James John, are you a major investor that could do damage if you”walked away”. Would Slovenia care that you are “tired” of them?..You are too emotionally invested so for your own wellbeing, Walk away!!!

There is no real change here except to tell us that we are going to give away part of the company to our JV partners with a new contract..... that is if they agree....after all, they own the concession / licence!! We are going to spend more money on new consultants to identify where the gas is!!! Something I had thought our nearly departed geoeologist Buggenhagen had done and on top of that we are going to employ a full time in house Lawyer to pursue litigation that we are not sure we are going to proceed with!!.. I suggest that any optimism be tinged with a touch of reality... this is going to cost money the company does not have without production....and we haven't got the permits yet!!!

Partridge, you are, in essence, replaying my post of Wednesday at 1709 hrs but appear to be turning it into fact when we won't know until the review is completed!!...it is guesswork, currently unsupported by evidence. Speculation is fine but why present it as fact?...creating fake news to what end?...let's just wait and see!!

Always up, I hear you and agree but I have a feeling that the upcoming Strategic Review will be to “Package” the Slovenian asset to offer it to our partners Geonegro, probably for a lot less than the potential value, on the basis that it will fund the Cuban pipe dream...not certain, just guesswork!!...time will tell!!
