LL, I may have misunderstood but dividends gained in an ISA are tax free!

Aside from your ISA, you can open a SIPP and by using a reputable Financial Adviser to access a trading platform you can invest £40k a year.
There are tax benefits associated with this where you can draw down 25% tax free.
It’s a bit more complicated because you crystallise remaining funds.
I had reservations about using a Financial Advisor but it was a legal requirement when I transferred out of a company pension scheme but would now recommend it.
Both my wife and my own self select share ISA’s are full so having access to an alternative has been successful for us!

Ray, take it up with the author!..I only cut and pasted it to show that Scancell is getting publicity which I don't think is a bad thing. The article itself was overall positive with a hint of caution albeit flavour v fact!!....no real need for a forensic dissection!

VBI have not initiated phase 1 clinical studies yet!

C7 will be livid, I can imagine her screeching at her screen before she frantically gets it deleted before it collects anymore "recommends"....as this post will be deleted by her as well!...tiresome woman!!

I am in no way deramping, I still believe this is a "strong buy"!
However, I have a slight concern that most of the posts on this BB seem to be assuming that any news forthcoming will be positive!...perhaps not surprising given what we know about Scancell but there are still risks here!.. what if trials, for any number of reasons, are delayed, or worse, trials are not as successful as imagined or potential partnering interest wanes.
I have learned from past failures to tinge my optimism with a smidgen of caution!
I wouldn't dream of teaching anyone to suck eggs but I would like to remind my fellow investors on here of the "Stop / Loss" tool if you are fortunate to currently be ahead of the game. Hopefully, it will never be triggered and Scancell becomes a highly successful business that rewards us all.

Cam, I believe the published date is for a Slovenian response!...or do you believe that a cheque will be in the post on the 20th March.

Not posted here for a while but having reviewed some of the recent posts, I see that blind optimism still exists! I was a LTH here but have recently sold out with a £50k loss.
The Cuban venture is a pipe dream created to maintain interest. There are many barriers that will prevent this progressing, not least the political ones. I would be stone cold and six foot under before anything positive could happen there.
Slovenia is a bust!..has been for a while. Their government is not going to listen to Any European justice outcomes unless it rules in their favour...they will never pay up!
Future development of the asset there will be extremely limited without significant investment in infrastructure.. not affordable for Ascent.
The BoD are not experienced oil and Gas people they are experienced "city" guys...they know how to maintain a lifestyle through ongoing dilutions and consolidations but rest assured they are savvy enough not to risk much themselves.
My loss is painfull, but the only person I can blame is myself. I gambled and on this occasion and got burnt!
I am fortunate that I can take the loss but it still grieves me that I allowed unfounded optimism and perhaps a touch of greed to rule my head.

Hyms, thanks for the clarification!... I was sure I had read 2nd gen but less sure now. If it’s not a 2nd gen then it emphasises Scancell’s position in that area!

My understanding was that CRUK lacked funds to develop Scancell’s Cancer treatment and handed it back!.. now partnering with Teon to develop their cancer drug!.... it does make you wonder... don’t it?

Hyms, ref your post yesterday, Curevac commenced phase 3 trials of it's Covid vaccine back in December last year. They are partnered with GSK maybe that's the reason behind your claim that the UK government has ordered 50 mil doses!!

Dragon, a bit naive I think! Yields went up 1.6 today ( slightly lowered at close).. completely rational and predictive!
Threat of inflation and higher interest rates have an impact! .. investor concern should be about a major market correction if it develops.
However, I think SCLP is an exception to the rule... coz I am a gambler!... but quite well informed!

Jeez Ruck, I was just musing on the price drop and wondered if the presentation was pre-recorded and if the content was not as positive as some assume.... however, if it's live then that quashes that.

Rats, you read too much into my comment, I never suggested the presentation would be "subtlety shown" you are clearly a conspiracy theorist and paranoid at some level and a complete balloon.
