Conrad, as you and I have lost with this share, I would have thought that you would not want others to experience the same. I am not bitter and twisted but I am irritated with myself for not recognising the point at which I should have bailed. That point, for me, was when we challenged the requirement for an EIA and arrogantly “told” Slovenia that our proposed method f or stimulation was not “fracking”.
My deramping, which I guess is what it is, stems from a wish to ensure that there is a balanced opinion on this BB, as I would not want others to end up like we both did.
However, if I knew how to get paid for deramping or ramping, I would be up for that.
It is clear my view on AST is that it is dead duck….of course I cannot state with 100% certainty that I am right but I am not, unfortunately, a paid deramper!

Oldblue, I couldn’t care less!!…believe what you want..like you believe major funds are invested in AST…Align have 10% and the other brokers like HL are nominee a/c’s made up of small private investors like you and me…oh yes, 3% held by Jamieson Principal Pension fund…look them up on the internet!!!…good luck!

Oldblue, reference your comment on "NORMAL folk".. I sold out in Feb this year at 13p but still with a loss of £56K...We still have an insignificant amount in my wife's ISA... not worth selling...I am lucky not to be impacted by the loss and I have since re-invested what I did recover and am doing ok but have written off my losses with AST.

Oldblue, your fragmented rambling is barely understandable!... I mentioned ESG, it won't go anywhere without serious funding, that is clear. The EIA would be done by a consultant...if it ever gets done!!.. you just don't see it do you? There is no solid basis to invest or re-invest here if you look at it with logic and clear vision ....Reference the gas volumes, they were estimated many years ago and are clearly "tight" and difficult to extract. The former CEO John Buggenhagen allegedly undertook a review of the old and dated Seismic Survey about 2 or 3 years ago, the results of which were never publicised and shortly after the alleged review, he left the company. I have repeatedly asked for the results to be published to shareholders but they won't do it. Clearly, if the results of the alleged review had been positive and the Gas proven to be reachable, they would have published and the value adding impact of publishing would have benefited shareholders.
Oldblue, I know I can never convince you that this is such a high risk share but for others considering investing here I would suggest they look at every aspect and avoid the get rich quick impulse embedded in us as gambling addicts...I urge extreme caution!!! ... don't invest here with cash you cannot afford to lose...good luck oldblue.....you are going to need it!

In the "notes" is a cut and paste from the last auditor's report....
"Based on historical and recent support from new and existing investors the Board believes that such funding, if and when required, could be obtained through new debt or equity issuances.

However, there can be no guarantee over the outcome of these options and as a consequence there is a material uncertainty of the Group's ability to raise the necessary finance, which may cast doubt on the Group's ability to operate as a going concern. Further, the Group may be unable to realise its assets and discharge its liabilities in the normal course of business."

Also note in the accounts the £475,000 for employees but AST currently have no employees except the BoD!!
I am not making this up, it's all there in black and white..properly interpret the report without emotion.

Interim Report…Window dressing!!!..look at the accounts!!..really look at and interpret the accounts!! …This company is in trouble!!..no income, the gas and condensate sales produced in Slovenia, in total, goes to the in country operator.
Litigation still not commenced and no mention of the licence renewal which Ascent do not own.
ESG and Cubs are unrealistic even if they had money.
More funding and dilution coming.

Old blue, you say the best source of info are RNS’s and Nomad statements…you cannot be serious!…RNS’s are carefully constructed releases that often mask the “condition” a company finds themselves in. They are a legal requirement for publicising information that may have a material impact on the SP but the wording is usually spun on the positive side without any emphasis on negative aspects. The only RNS that can be fully relied on is the Annual report that is supported by accounts and performance information and is independently audited. Nomads have a vested interest and are skewed in favour of the company.
If your investment strategy relies on both these then you are a poorly informed investor and poorly informed investors will lose.
You have stated that the BoD have done more in the last year than previous BoD’s but aside from what they said, what tangible, value adding achievements can you point to in the last year?
Debt can be a positive indicator when researching a company if the debt is to “grow” the company in terms of longer term added value. Debt to provide life support to a failing company is what all investors should look at before risking money.
Analysts and broker reports, monitoring moving day averages, interpreting independent auditor’s reports and reviewing company historical performance are some other checks that should be undertaken before putting your money in.
I am writing this for the benefit of others who may be looking on here as potential investors and are gullible enough to believe your blind, ill informed optimism.
I don’t expect you to respond as I note you never answer any question put to you on this BB but if you are aware of anything achieved by this board in the last year, as you have stated, then please give us the benefit of your insight but with evidence not just opinion.

Note the date…taken from Enyo Law’s website…if AST were proceeding with them and not, as they put it “considering alternatives” then it would have required an RNS, as it would potentially have a “material impact”..so fairly safe to assume that Enyo have not been instructed to proceed…I could be wrong but feel certain market rules would have required an RNS.

Old blue, to remind me why we have kept a few shares in my wife’s ISA, I had a quick review of the company interim report, signed off last September ( nearly 12 months ago) and also re read the Annual report issued last April. You can see that they stated they were starting an EIA and offering to renegotiate the JV partnership both around the Slovenia operation…I went back to these documents to check the company commitments as I am wondering why there is no communication from the management team and believe it is because none of their commitments have begun, at least there is no evidence for it.
I still remain convinced that this company cannot survive, funds are depleting daily with no income to speak of.
They will have no choice but to attempt to raise funding which, if they manage to do that, will require drastic dilution.
The hope that there will be a positive outcome from the proposed litigation, which has also not started is an outside bet at best. The Slovenian Government have too much “dry powder” for it to succeed and I think Ascent know that or they would have initiated the action long before now.
The intangible Cuba proposal has no credibility and has no funding to make it a realistic opportunity and if you monitor global media, the politics that have frustrated the USA will apply to any endeavour and prevent any true ownership of potential Cuban assets….it’s a bluff and a desperate attempt to temporarily prop up the company.
Continuous dilution and consolidation cost me over £56k. I regret my previous support for this company but it did teach me and no doubt many others an expensive lesson.

Hasiba, it should hold up well......my view is that Covidity is the key. If successful, it will fund the other platforms which again in turn, if successful, will see SCLP become attractive to investors either as a major Pharma in it's own right or an attractive target for predatory "Big Pharma".....or am I being unrealistic? :-D

WTP, no doubt you will accuse me of deramping but I ain't..your interpretation of it being "fantastic" is not mine. It's good news certainly but SCLP and ISA Pharmaceuticals announced their Amplivant / MODI collaboration in Feb 2018 and all that has happened is that there is approval to move into Humanised trials which is a step in the process. On that basis, I would not expect more than a moderate impact on the SP. it's the results of the trials, if successful, that will be "fantastic" news and have a real impact on the value here. Maybe I am dampening the surge of enthusiasm here with a dose of realism (as I see it...and I could be wrong) but not deramping. It's a "strong buy" in my opinion.

It was only 8 months ago that an RNS (16th Dec) included the following statement.

“ The Project is also enshrined within the intra-government initiatives under the China-****stan Economic Corridor ("CPEC"). It seems the impetus has evaporated and blind optimism is not a good strategy for investors at any level. I am an LTH but might consider trading this share if the spread widens.

AB, we are aligned except the 12 months you predict would be disappointing.
I had thought that vaccines under development were being fast tracked and would expect that if Covidity is progressed safely through trials and marketed, with or without partners, it would happen sooner albeit, I think your 12 month timeline was not specific to Covidity but on Scancell as whole.

AB, referring to your Saturday 1220hrs post, I don’t disagree but would add that if and I emphasise if, Covidity is the success we think and hope it will be, then surely it would provide a sustainable revenue stream that would fund Scancell for the foreseeable.
If that did come to pass then the big pharma predators would be circling and the connotations around Zachari may become clear…all uninformed guesswork on my part!
