I have a view that the cash burn will increase exponentially and quickly, as SCLP expands their R&D and trials.
If we don’t move into partnerships or reach a level of development on at least one of the platforms within 18 months to 2 years that leads to commercialisation, we will be left with a company that has an IP value and some tangible assets but no income!…the runway is shortening, SCLP really do need to pull their finger out!!
Having said that, I am cautiously optimistic that we will get there…it’s just the when that is now a slight concern.

Yes C7, I regret posting about my wife. After all, it was personal but at the time I thought it pertinent to the thread. It won’t happen again and I apologise to those who may have felt burdened by it.

Earlier this month you implied that I was a “Narcistic manipulative abuser”…is that because I have a view on the content of your posts that you do not like?
I feel that you are trying to monopolise and control the board and that you would prefer to have it solely for yourself and those that agree or sympathise with you.
It is clear that I don’t like the repetitive content and your sharing personal issues. In the same way that you have the right to post what you like, I have the same right to comment on what you post.

I am a strong supporter here and believe it will be rewarded… what I don’t get is blind optimism coupled with personalised content that I believe is designed to ramp the stock.
Bermuda is one of the few posters here that deals in facts without the pathetic personalised weather forecasts from north of the “border”, updates on our dogs exercise, and updates from our love lives…and health!!!… if you have a love life, then surely your health ain’t as bad as you think!… or say!!!… Rinse and repeats that are just trying to promote the stock should be ignored!… suggesting that you are trading this stock in the tight range that it has been for some time and making profit is a lie.… you cannot make money trading this spread unless you are spectacularly lucky… and, as a gambler, I know you ain’t that lucky C7!!!

I don’t look on here on a daily basis, perhaps every few days.. but what is noticeable when I scan and catchup is the level of rinse and repeat opinions and guesswork on when news will emerge and what it will be when it does and continuous comment on what is a static SP…it smacks of desperation and anxiety…that can’t be good for the health and well being of those that do it.
I am sure one of you will delete this but that’s ok…I really don’t mind!…. :-D

Ping, I believe you and I are pretty much aligned with our views on this company and our opinion that Ol’blue is illogically supporting it.
I am not defending him, he can defend himself but I would like to defend the principle of allowing differing opinions, no matter how much we disagree with them.
I have at times been controversial, cynical and dismissive of posters here and on other BB’s and enjoy the banter it can create but at times, overly sensitive posters react badly…I don’t take it seriously…life’s too short!…enjoy the crack!!

Not worried at all, invested here not just for Covidity!…my point was more about patience. As an investor, I have thought about the possibility of not getting our vaccine approved but I believe there is a high level of confidence within the SCLP team and believe patience will reward.

The Russian vaccine Sputnik V has not been approved by the EU Medicines Agency nor by WHO but more than 70 countries have ordered it.
SAHPRA has not approved it and given reasons why…I guess my point is that approval is not guaranteed and that the process for approval is thorough and lengthy…so maybe previously suggested timelines may be optimistic.

With approx 2.3 billion shares issued and a mcap of £10m, I can easily imagine a “tidy up” would not be unreasonable!

Anyone else sensing a share consolidation here?…not that it would necessarily be a bad thing.
Often after consolidation, value drops but often temporarily.
Provided good news follows consolidation the price would recover…for the brave, consolidation could well be a trading opportunity…just a thought and putting it out there!

Off topic here but while it’s quiet!…I agree that the govt could have done much better but that is said in hindsight…the whole world struggled with the pandemic, an event that nobody living today had experienced. The report is like the curates egg..what has crossed my mind is would a different govt have done any better?…with an election probably 18 months away, who would I think would be better than the current mob both in managing recent events and for the recovery and the future wellbeing of the country in all aspects. I have been a swing voter for decades without tradition or parental or peer influence, I wish there was a credible opposition but sadly, there isn’t. Kier Starmer seems to be a decent guy but hasn’t the personality or character and is surrounded by a shadow cabinet of hysterical, ranting, truth avoiding shouters who all seem consumed by hate for anything Tory instead of concentrating on constructive policies to move this country forward. Ashworth and Thornberry on the Andrew Marr show recently failed to give direct answers to questions. I also recollect that when the last Labour Party government left office, they had bankrupted the country!…remember the note left in the chancellors office “there’s nothing left”…There are reasons that Labour lost the last election so badly and those reasons are still there!

Oldblue, 1% at today’s mid cap is circa £45k…I’m betting you paid somewhat more than that..I lost more than that at a time when I was a true believer in this stock way back.
The hardest thing to do is admit you are wrong..I know that but if you take an unbiased and unemotional look at the facts around performance, debt, historical dilution activities and further dilutions coming in the near future and add in the geopolitical issues in AST’s countries of current and proposed operations even you might admit that at best this is an extremely risky share to be in…I wish you luck!

Konar, The “rules” for issuing an RNS are the same for all companies. You cannot make an argument for differentiating.

Konar, so I have a different view to you although I agree Company / Shareholder communication is important but not all of it requires an RNS….Are you aware if those other producers or developers issued an RNS for FPD?
I have never belittled the company…I love it!!…why wouldn’t I, having bought in at an average of 6.3p…however, you may have a point around belittling shareholders..some of them on here post with nothing but repetition interspersed with pithy personal comment on a rinse and repeat cycle!
If I was belittling, it was unintentional but heyho I must try and remember there are some very sensitive souls here!

Why would “First Patient Dosed” (FPD) require an RNS?…I would not have seen it impacting the SP in any significant way. I don’t recall any of the current vaccine producers issuing an RNS at that stage and am not aware of any on the list of potential vaccine developers issuing one either. FPD means progress but doesn’t guarantee success or failure.
I suspect the clamour of demanding and impatient shareholders constantly urging SCLP to communicate, may have influenced the decision to issue but as with all of the above, I don’t really know….just musing!!

Merck / Ridgeback Covid 19 antiviral “pill” to be taken twice a day for five days. Merck looking for emergency use approval from the FDA after successful phase 111 trial.
Interestingly, the pill was developed prior to Covid pandemic but not for any specific condition (possibly Lupus) but was taken off the shelf and trialled for Covid. Covid vaccines coming thick and fast and many of them reducing hospitalisations and deaths….which, when you get to the nub of it, is all we need any vaccine to do!!…the fattest pigs are the first at the trough,,get on with it Scancell!!!
