Ruck, My booster was called “Comirnaty” and I initially thought it was a different vaccine to the two Pfizer Biontech doses I had previously but it was the same Pfizer BioNTech vaccine.
The name change is due to the fact that drugs until approved for more than just emergency use have to be known by the company name. Once fully approved the company can give it a “brand” name. It is the same vaccine so I am not sure why you think the booster is a different vaccine.

Bermuda, understood and mostly agree!…that said, I would not object to partnering with Pfizer or Moderna, with the right deal… and share revenues!!…kerching!

Scancell indicated at the AGM that they would look to “partner” Covidity so I would imagine that if trails are successful and Covidity proves to be easily adaptable as also indicated, then it would be easy to imagine potential partners would, very quickly, be knocking on the SCLP door. A worry would be that the new SA variant has a high transmission rate whereby development of any effective vaccines struggle to catch up!
It is likely that the WHO, CEPI, the approving medical authorities et al would support fast tracking but I think Scancell, with a history of slow progress, would need to find a way to move faster once safety data is known to be positive. Therefore, a partner with a proven management and production infrastructure to get Covidity across the line would be a preferred option…in other words a major pharma!

Scouse, nobody really knew!!!!…your statements reflect assumptions made at the time. The pandemic was the first event of It’s kind in living memory so hard to research it as you stated many had!…also easy to blame any number of individuals, organisations and governments with perfect hindsight.
The UK did get the vaccination programme right and perhaps that has put us in a better place than many other countries.

Ruck, your post of 11.33 today. You indicated plateauing at £12m…I think that is a conservative guess / estimate.

I believe that as the accounts were up to April 2021, it does not include the manufacturing costs of £6.4m for SCOV1…it just states there has been an increase in development costs but I expect that to be declared in the next set of accounts and therefore is not part of the operating loss of £15m+.
I would be interested in understanding the basis of your estimate if you feel inclined to offer it.
