AST will fade away. It has no income. The claim will trundle on in the courts for years. At some point Enyo will bail out as costs mount. Slovenia have a good defence and is backed up by changes in it’s domestic law. AST have no money and no future but will exist for some time desperately hanging on to the falsehood of a successful action against the Slovenian government.

As C7 flippantly called me “Sailor boy” let me happily confirm that my wife, who is well passed retirement age, has taken planned leave as a nurse in the NHS and will be joining me in a sail to the “heel” of Italy this month!! She is also a qualified Yachtmaster. It will probably be our last sail in our 36 foot as we are buying a 42 footer and planning a world ocean tour when she fully retires later this year. I will be 70 years old in a couple of weeks and make no apologies for being in rude health and physically capable.
I am a survivor and have no time for those who project self pity and burden others with their health issues. My advice to those needy for sympathy is to stop searching for it and get on with enjoying the time you have left.

Chester, given that there has been no significant news from SCLP, the content here has been speculative and repetitive.
Some of it is informative and educating but it has become somewhat boring and needs some disruption. To add interest, we could have a sweepstake to guess how long it will take to delete my previous!…:-D

I have little doubt that C7’s remarks were directed at AB and also at me. C7 has accused both of us at times of “twisting” his / her posts when we have challenged the veracity of them. She / he is over sensitive to comments that are not supportive of his / her view and has successfully “groomed” others on this board to leap to his / her defence….There is something disingenuous about C7 if you check back on C7’s posts you will find evidence to support that view. it is clear that she / he lied about the number of shares that she / he has bought, sold or held…and if you look further back at C7’s posts you will find that although we were told by C7 that she / he was in the vulnerable category, at the height of lockdown and isolation, C7 managed to meet a partner who very quickly and I quote “ got down on one knee and slipped a ring on my finger”
For me, I sense C7 is “needy” for attention, approval and sympathy and there are quite a few on this board who provide that for the poor thing!…:-)

Ruck, your analogy does not fit. JG’s medical condition is being managed. The house fire example is not.
If the house fire was being managed by the Fire Service in attendance, would you need to dial 999 or tell them how to extinguish it?

I would like to think that Janey Godley’s Oncologist would be aware of all treatments and trials and it would be his / her role to provide treatment options and trial participation opportunities.

No mention yet of the cost of the JV with Blanco Safi the Peruvian Investment Company!…Looks like the Cuba scam being repeated….you have to ask why Blanco Safi, who reportedly hold £150 million of investments would associate with a penniless and pointless company like Ascent.

Enyo Law are not going to work for nothing nor will they independently fund any action against the Slovenian government. I am guessing that they will want some form of financial guarantee that would not see them out of pocket and therein lies the problem! AST will not want to part with any of their limited funds upfront and have no visible income..it looks like a bit of a stalemate, with, in my opinion, Enyo Law eventually walking away!… I could be wrong, maybe Enyo Law feel that they have such a strong case that they may take a risk.. it will take many years with Slovenia stalling and stonewalling..and even if the case is eventually found against them, they will never pay up!

Milnrowrug, it would seem so!…it’s not something I understand. I believe the future of AST is at best tenuous on the evidence that I can see, obviously that is my opinion.
The RNS today says nothing new other than to confirm that they still have not agreed anything with Enyo Law.

Full disclosure…I was invested here for years, when I believed it had genuine potential and was producing and selling gas to Croatia before I sold out with a loss of £56k… my wife holds some but not a significant amount in her ISA, which explains my interest and continuing participation on this BB.
What I cannot explain is why some are continuing to invest as shown by todays trades! Unbelievable given that currently, the company has no operational structure, it’s not, nor will it ever, produce gas in commercial quantities without stimulation (fracking) which has no been banned, in all it’s forms by the Slovenian government.
The stock has been diluted to maintain BoD salaries and has no income. The little gas being produced is sold locally by the partner Geonergo to cover operating costs. Ascent Resources (uk) submit their invoices but there is not enough left for them to be paid.
Ascent are hanging on to a forlorn hope that they will successfully sue the Slovenian government. (See my previous posts for my view on that)
I can only assume that these investors are PI’s who have not undertaken any form of research or due diligence!…”a fool and his money are soon parted”… I know as I was one once!!

Unlikely Pack!…it’s “tight” gas!…and without fracking of some sort, production will not be significant from the petisovci gas field…remember Slovenia has banned fracking of any sort.

Conrad, I have read the RNS twice over and cannot see any progress detailed, in fact the opposite!
“ Consequently, the Company does now not expect to complete certain workstreams relating to the permits and applications to re-stimulate the PG-10 and PG-11A wells. The Company is now reviewing future field development opportunities in light of this political development and is reviewing all previously envisaged workstreams including the EIA permitting and concession extension processes.”
Where in the RNS does it indicate the progress?
