I don’t agree with Mattpitt, I think Sunak did an excellent job as Chancellor.
The Furlough payments and support for the vulnerable and small businesses was incredible.
The huge cost was and is not sustainable but the freeloaders and there are many, believe they are entitled and when they don’t get the top ups and handouts immediately become anti conservative without any understanding of what life would be like for them under a Labour government.
Proposed windfall tax and raising corporate tax will mean investment drying up and jobs lost or not created. Poverty will grow, the handouts will be cut and civil unrest will follow.
When our Scancell windfall arrives then no doubt those investors here that have more socialist tendencies than I, can share their new found wealth with their “entitled” and needy comrades!!….;-D

The unbridled optimism here for stunning news coming soon, might be tempered if attention was paid to slide 6 in Scancell’s November presentation.
The timeline given does not suggest an RNS is imminent so I am thinking that assumptions are being made based on a patient with a good response during a trial, which as of yet, has not been confirmed formally by Scancell.
We are a company with amazing potential but until a pathway to commercialisation is clear, we could be a company with potential for a long time.
I am not sure a Takeover is on the cards because I feel that LD has a sense of “ownership” which might create difficulty, as she would probably need to be part of the package, even with a hostile T/O.

AmatraB, this is a minnow company on AIM, hopefully with potential. I imagine most PI’s here are gamblers at some level.
It’s not Lloyds, GSK or legal & General with powerful investor institutions so I suspect that the relatively small management team on Oracle having to deal with a group of shareholders looking over their shoulder would stunt any potential growth. I also suspect that the sheik would bail out.
If I were you, I would look for a job that fills your time or, if you are idly rich, then find a hobby that interests you.

Added today at .205…not showing yet. A wide spread with all these low cost shares.
I consider this relatively low risk but intend to trade this on the way up but keeping a core holding for the long term.…patience is the word here!!

Berm, I see a connection, albeit a financial one and in my mind Redmile are it!…I wasn’t aware of the BioNTech angle so perhaps I am a way off…it’s just my thinking….this a bit of a delayed response as I don’t spend a lot of time here!

There is a common denominator with Scancell and Merck and that is Redmile!…I posted the following in February 2021.

WTP…I have not always been an astute investor and have been clear in past posts that I have had significant losses.
My gamble on SCLP, despite what I thought to be good research, was just that, a gamble.. I have been fortunate with the timing and that is my good fortune.
I was making two points, one on the future value of the SP based on Scancell’s product timeline, which is just my opinion and the other point was on my unshakeable belief that Scancell will be “big news” at some point …and on that basis, I do not want to let go of any shares in case there is a “jump” and I miss it…..” free carry” or not!!

Realistically, I think it highly unlikely that any imminent news will drive the SP to fantasy heights quoted by some on here. I believe positive news on Modi and SCIB trials could see us towards the 80p-100p over the next 12-18 months but feel that rise would be based on sentiment and possible GlyMab and Avidimab deals, which in itself that would be a great result for all Shareholders.
Should the MODI & SCIB trials have miraculous outcomes and Big Pharma come in, then we might achieve something extraordinary but given Scancell’s own timelines, in their November presentation, I think we are a year or two away from that being a possibility.
This is just my view, I don’t expect agreement and am not trying to burst anyone’s bubble!…I am more than positive on this share and recognise my normal investing strategy has been blown out of the water. I am sitting on a near 4x bagger at the current SP and am still holding when I could sell 25% and be on a free carry!!!…how greedy am I?…:-)

Carltit, I golf and sail, obviously not at the same time!…my wife also golfs and sails with me, she is also joint owner of several properties we own and let both in the UK and abroad. She is a retired Nurse, who still works as a bank nurse two days a week when she is in the UK.
One of my best friends golfs and is a retired Doctor, who went back to work during the height of Covid. He and his wife also own two properties in the UK which they let out. One with a permanent tenant and the other as an AirBnB. Landlords are everywhere!…3% of people in the UK are Landlords…18 Labour MP’s are Landlords and 90 Conservative MP’s are Landlords… which proves that Conservative MP’s are smarter!…and clearly the party of Business!!… :-)

Carltit, your intense hatred of Landlords could only be caused by some terrible and harrowing experience at the hands of a Landlord or Landlords.
Were you groomed and abused by a Landlord or maybe a bunch of them?…you poor thing!…so sad.…have you thought about getting some help?

Epro, what is an irrefutable fact is that Brexit happened and we are out of the EU.
I voted to remain but accepted the outcome of the vote.
It is a new environment that we are in, there is no precedent for the government to learn from so mistakes will be made.

Our economy has tanked and there are contributory factors, including lack of investment but the type of investment needed is the type that looks twenty years ahead and therefore you can blame both parties for their historic failure in that specific area. However, the economy was in a worse state between 2007-2010 when Labour were in power… fact check the performance e.g. the GDP for those years, you will find I am telling you the truth! if you did do some fact checking you might stop feeling the need to be so emotionally upset by what you clearly believe to be the truth!…you are buying into the current media hype but I suspect that no matter how well any Tory government did, or may do, they would never have your support as your hatred of them appears to be ingrained.

Carlttit, I am a Landlord, my properties were not gifted to me, I have worked everyday of my life and am reaping the rewards for hard work!…including golfing on days when I am not sailing or managing my property portfolio.… I am also involved in a charity and an NGO in one of the countries in which I own property. I pay taxes in each of the countries I earn income from and cover my CGT liability to the UK under second home “rules” but obviously, I have a tax adviser in each of these countries to help maximise my tax breaks to legally avoid excessive tax…I have to commend my advisers, they save me a fortune and are worth every penny I pay them.
I read and enjoy your posts very much, I hope you continue to post your opinions into next year as you put such a wide grin on my face… although I must admit, I have not stopped smiling for many years. Have a great 2023!…I know I will!…:-D

I left school at 15 a year before I was legally able. I had a less than happy childhood so left home at the same time.
I worked everyday of my life, often with three jobs at the same time, building labourer, barman and taxi driver in my early years. I got lucky and ended up earning good money overseas, living in subhuman conditions with some unstable colleagues.
