Idon't recall any specific date being banded about for an acquisition. However I wholeheartedly endorse that is what is required.
Perhaps Novacyt have been astute ( perhaps not intentionally) and didn't purchase at the peak of the market and additionally non compliance with IVDR regs will not only increase market share but may well mean there are some bargains. My preference would be for several smaller acquisitions as they would be easy to integrate and I am keen to avoid the eggs in one basket approach , been there and done that and think all concur that game plan didn't end well.
Regarding SP buyback , that would cause a temporary spike that would be sold into , would waste cash , would generate no income and would frustrate me as I'm sure there must be plentiful targets out there worthy of acquisition. Imo only.

Rate rise USA , UK and first in Switzerland in 15 years.
Inflation , stagnation, Ukraine war , Covid impacting many businesses still. Fuel and food prices , housing market next .
Wait for earnings later in the year , a lot of companies will struggle.
Personally think in comparison Novacyt has the potential to fare well. The market didn't look at Nova today and go meh , or anything else , the market threw up today again and probably will continue to do so for many months.

With regards to the stock yes I agree but it will be viewed as being reasonable in the eyes of the court , an attempt to reconcile differences. They are obviously going for just the contract signed by the DHSc and interest. I personally am thrilled the marker is in the sand. Great Novacyt

Byp the new variants of Moneypox hadn't even been fully sequenced with the 40 new mutations to enable Roche to develop test produce and release an assay that can differentiate between old and new variants , does this matter ? I don't know , I'm no scientist but let's call a spade a spade . Novacyt are developing an assay based on latest sequencing so it can track what variants are spreading .
Will it be widely used , will the virus continue to spread , no idea.

Drb , without doubt it has to include a substantial acquisition that is already generating cash. That is what I expect , I just hope it fairly imminent.
Once I see that and a counterclaim I expect to see the SP motoring in the right direction. Just imo

BlackRock inc down 34 % % YTD . Pi's selling and they have to also to pay them. They aren't buying the dips no big funds investing anywhere across the markets as a rule of thumb at the moment. Not just Novacyt , reflection of the ongoing volatility across all the markets.

I am going to have to go back when time allows to read the annual report because I am not certain what tests of Microgens will be retained , I understand at a high level not to spend time getting ready for May reg deadline , but that surely can't be applicable to practically the entire suite of tests. If it is the case what was GM doing ?
