Capital Drilling reported revenue fell for the third year in a row due to the on-going slump in global commodity markets, but it also revealed that operating cash flow was higher for the third consecutive year, while the company also achieved the highest positive free cash flow in its history.

The focus in the first half of 2016 is to integrate the two sites, with a pre-feasibility study expected in the first six months.

Three new products are being launched: a tougher structural component carbon fibre aimed at the car, boat and sports goods sectors; a prototype carbon fibre tooling material; and an autoclave tooling product for very high temperatures. “We have independent verification that our patented technology works; we have sales channels and satisfied customers placing repeat orders and now we have the funds to accelerate our commercialisation strategy,” he says.

Currently Rex’s equipment helps the disabled walk upright and is being developed to aid physiotherapy for people with spinal cord and traumatic brain injury. With the US military, Rex will adapt the exoskeleton for soldiers who have lost lower limbs in atrocities such as roadside bombs. Simon tells Proactive that in addition to injured military personnel, the modified Rex would have multiple applications and also assist civilians who have lost lower limbs due to mines, diabetic foot and leg ulcers.

Greg Kuenzel, chief executive of Noricum, says the drill program underway at the moment is focused on the first of its starter pits, and resource drilling should be completed by the end of the month. “Once that’s completed, we will continue to work with our resource consultant on finalising the resource numbers,” he says, adding that the firm is also working on pit design and mine planning, with the firm “on track”

Stratex produced around 600 ounces of gold in the fourth quarter, and he says the company is “in the process of ramping up production to full-scale, which is going to be a minimum of 30,000 ounces per year and may well be more”. The precious metals firm was held up by poor weather which delayed construction of the heap leach pad, as well as delays in permitting, but Hall says the company has now passed this, and expects full-scale production to be reached in the second quarter of this year.

The company’s plan moving forward, he says is to “continue with regional bolt-ons” and “continue to outperform expectations with these acquisitions – it is a good time for us”.

Annualised recurring revenue (ARR) for StatPro Revolution - it's cloud product- met its target of an increase of 46% at £7.8mln from £5.35mln in 2014 and Wheatley says this now represents 27% of the group’s recurring revenue. “The core benefit of our product is the way it brings together a number of different analytic products” he says, adding that traditionally people have had separate systems for performance, attribution risk while StatPro can “bring all those together and allow people to access that information in one go.”

The specialist staffing firm delivered record pre-tax profit as earnings per share rose in the year just gone, and Kreulen says the results were ahead of expectations. The company has negotiated a deal with three banks to replace loans that were with 22 banks, a transaction he says is “a real reflection of the growing maturity” of Mytrah. Smith also states that the variable winds that affected the firm’s performance last year were a “one-off”, and is “very confident that that’s not an indication of the future”.
