Hi Tommy, I agree that everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Just out of interest, have you offered to take a pay cut at your job to help offset any issues due to Coronavirus, or bought any shares? No one disagrees that orders are needed, but I think, considering the circumstances you are so right to point out (COVID), we need to cut them a bit of slack.
Rubbish, Tommy - AFC's use of cash has been nothing short of exemplary, and there have been no signs of over-spending.
We should be applauding this fundraise as it secures our investment for a bit longer. I for one was / am expecting a bigger fundraise. Taking a small amount now is in fact looking after your best interests.
Every business is going to be looking at its cost base and looking at what they need to prioritise to survive. Every single one of AFC’s prospective customers from an ev charger perspective. From that perspective I see ev charging a difficult market in the short term.
That said, where AFC’s products can be used for industrial processes, I.e alkamem, where existing processes can be optimised to save money, I.e a b2b application and not b2c, AFC’s products are still relevant.
Having a snoop on linked in I have noticed a number of companies keep coming up that are of note and seemingly engaged with AFC. These include Shell, Balfour Beatty, Kier. Also optimised buildings, who I suspect consult Sainsbury’s and other retailers on lowering energy costs and improving customer experience. Caterpillar inc has also cropped up ( I wonder whether this is secret OEM?)
Shell and caterpillar. Can you imagine....
Ok thanks chip. I’m definitely going to this years agm. There is good chance of some kind of positive news by then. It would have been5 months since the ev chargers would have been launched. I think an update on the partnership with de Nora is likely between now and then too.
You might not need more than that haggis, but the market does. I’m sorry but ‘don’t worry we’ll figure it out later’ is not cutting the mustard. Nor is whispering some ideas in a few ears at AGM’s so they may write about it on the bulletin boards. I’ve never heard anything about outsourcing assembly, I thought assembly would be done by AFC, can you reference where this has been communicated to investors? Obviously I hope they have a plan, all I’m saying is I’ve not seen or heard of it, apart from the obvious, I.e de Nora will make the electrodes.
Haggis, Yes, there is a coronavirus outbreak and is effect on stock markets. If this is the case on this stock it would seem irrational, considering this is a B2B product, focussed on commercialisation in the uk. I’m not sure how coronavirus would affect the supply or demand of this product.
Rather, I would point out that this company is still at a £100 m valuation, on no sales, it is likely to be volatile, up and down.
Personally, I’m the absence of sales, I would like AFC to make clear how they will manufacture these products at scale. We have nuggets of information and some assumptions, but they are still to present that vision to us.
People like to compare this to ITM - ITM’s share price went up post fundraise and announcement of the manufacturing facility. Aside from sales, funds for ongoing operations and subsequent ability to deliver on ‘large contracts’ would give this company some support. Before someone shouts about the £2m that was raised, they stated that it was clearly for speeding up the roadmap to getting the new units on board, I’m thinking ahead of that and how they support themselves for the rest of the year and increase their manufacturing capability. If the company is going to raise this money I’d prefer it at a£100m + market cap. A fundraise and details on plans would actually be welcome at this stage I would suggest.
I am emotive when it comes to this company because I have been patient with it for so long. Perhaps I am too attached to it. There’s other emotive posts here today, from genuine investors. I would recommend just letting people have their say emotive or not - as that is allowing for true balance. The deliberate rampers / derampers on this board are obvious. For the record I don’t think youre a bad guy, you just provoked me at a time I was already annoyed. Anyway, I’m drawing a line under this, let’s move on. Good luck with your investments.
AB has still to produce what we’ve been waiting for, for many years Muscorum / Bumblebee and yes, I have called for his head, but I didnt switch to supporting him specifically. As a long term holder, you should forgive me for getting excited when we had a rally. There are still question marks over Adam Bond, until he sells something and when it is confirmed he’s stopped licking the can down the road. The way he has treated shareholders in recent years has been shocking, he is not suddenly the saviour. I want the company to do well as I hold a significant amount of stock, which is why I get excited when it rallies and also why I get annoyed when the company fails to deliver and the communication is poor. You’re not the policeman of this board. Also, you’re not level headed, you try to spin everything so it sounds positive for everyone who might arrive to this board which is why you reply to every post and get annoyed with comments that show dissatisfaction towards the board and the company. As a long term shareholder and contributor to this board, I will continue to post my views and feelings freely.
Yes but admit it muscorum that was Ramos of you. You had a go the other day saying my posts were wild suggestions one way or the other. I post what I’m thinking at the time. You accused me of trading the stock. Why is it any different when you’re supporting posts claiming 50p will be hit? You try to manage the sentiment on this bird and don’t let people express when they are p is sed off at the company and if you ask me that is helping pull the wool over peoples eyes. So next time you go pointing the finger at other people who are very long term holders don’t bother otherwise I will pick up on your attempted management of The sentiment of this board to the Rampy side. And @risky - I didn’t attack him first, he went after me for expressing an opinion and, if he does that and starts going on the attack, I’m going to call him out. I don’t care what you think about his ‘research’.
BumbleB - ever the over-optimist and ramper, dont accuse me of trading short-term. I am within my rights to be p'd off at the way this company conducts its communications. Do you not have similar concerns? Have you not been caight in this trap before, because I have.
Not relative haggis. The market cap of the others is multiples of afc. How have afc allowed this to drop from 38p to 23p - at least if they had tried I would have been more forgiving. How did they have a Dundee dash, update investors along the way, then not bother to say anything on the way to and after Dundee!!! It was a small thing well within their control. If a fundraiser comes at a low price now then we will know why.
