Cgo in 8 weeks will be producing 300k tonnes per annum of met coking coal. Right now Ben producing about 500k tonnes per annum .
The add the goid , huge 1.6 billion tonne's coal resource and the ramp up to coke production by Q4.
All for £ 25m market cap vs Ben at £160m .
Cgo definitely has a lot more upside imo.

I repeat , some folks just don't get this. Ben is selling the raw product which is coking coal . Whoever they sell it to will turn it into coke for steel making and other uses.
Cgo will be producing their own coke ( a more expensive product with huge margins ).

Have you factored in that CGO has a far larger met coal reserve than BEN? Cgo has 1.6 billion tonnes of coal, out of which 700million tonnes is met coal. Also considered the huge gold potential 3 to 4 moz gold resources in Mali?
Also the margins on met coal is not much as you said and the cgo ceo said similar. But Cgo will be turning their Met coal into COKE. This is why they sre buiyng and installing coke batteries. It is coke that sells for $600 to $700 per tonne today.
Don't confused the 2, coking coal is a raw product which is use to produce a more expensive COKE. That's what cgo will be producing at 3000 tonnes a month from April.

Rob, the CEO categorically made clearly in 2 interviews last month that at current Met coal prices they will have a margin of $300 per tonne.

Previous owners have expended more than $20m on Lubu, which has enabled a sizeable resource in excess of 1.3 billion tonnes to be identified under NI 43-101 standard. Contango will initially focus on producing coking coal from Block B2, where extensive work has also been undertaken to define the specific properties of the coal, which in turn has enabled offtake conversations to commence. The coal seams within Block B2 are from surface down to a maximum depth of 47m, ensuring operating costs are kept at very attractive levels. Contango is initially focussed on the production of coking coal, with sales expected to local and international consumers.
