Don't want to pick an argument, Dore. I admire and enjoy your posts. The point I was making is that JLP is down about 3.5% today, taking into account the falsely elevated close yesterday. The same can be said about most of my other investments, so this has nothing to do with good or bad news about JLP and everything to do with market sentiment, or, as I put it, mass hysteria. A few of my stop losses were triggered today, so I have joined the sellers, but I'll be buying back in soon enough. This share is on the way up and the recent fluctuations are just an inevitable part of the process.

The last good news we had was the RNS on May 4th. The price that morning was 17.4. So the price has risen, not fallen on the raft of good news.

Same reason as it went up 10% with no positive news. Mass hysteria. I am not watching the one month chart, just the one year chart which looks spectacular.

Good point well made Welloil. If it opens tomorrow "down" If it opens tomorrow 'down' 3% at 21.25 it will be status quo with regard to the close!

I'm new to this board, Xviolet, but have significant investment in JLP and ARCM, so am heavily exposed to copper. Even with the best scientific data, it is possible to miss a significant ore body by just a few metres, and diamond drilling is expensive, so this is high risk high gain stuff. We know that there is copper to be found, and the extraordinary hike in the price of copper makes even modest discovies, previously thought not to be economical, of interest. I invested here recently because I am impressed by the BoD - now lets see what they can do with the current programme of drilling the highly prospective site in Troodos West!

Where did you hear that, Sumo? Some thime ago they said they were abandoning quarterly updates in favour of half yearly (the recent quarterly update being a 'one off'). I agree, though, that there is so much going on that an update would help us keep track of how all our irons are hotting up in the fire.

Not sure it is on the back burner, Ray. We are promised progress on zinc in Q3 which is not so far away and. Once zinc is up and running, it is not too much additional work to get going on the lead. We certainly have an obligation to make a start on this and it's not that it wont be econimical. Zinc prices are looking up (knocking on $3000 per tonne cf $2000 per tonne in June 2020), and lead is up 30% over a similar time period.

I don’t think it was Cyprus, Warren. All we’ve got there is an exclusivity agreement. For what it’s worth, I think it was probably just a mistake.

British Mike. We can move extremely quickly to get as far as a concentrate which is saleable (less than a year). But, as 'arry' points out to refine this to 99.99% pure copper is another story. I know there is a working copper mine in Cyprus (Skouriotissa) whch produces concentrate by solvent extraction and then purifies by electrowinning (so no roasting/smelting) but I don't know if there is working refinery (or even a mothballed one) like Sable. They did smelt copper in 466 BC but I suspect that refinery has been decommissioned! I'm really guessing here, but I wonder if the amount of copper in the dumps is enough to justify building a refinery from scratch, with all its problems and up-front costs.But what about run of mine ore? At least three companies are prospecting like mad. It's a fascinating story.

Hi Asaika - yes, I go back to Smokey Hills days. We wanted to use their processor for the Dilakong tailings, but then dabbled in trying to buy the mine outright. It all fell through (mercifully). Toxic debt, I think. It did continue to operate but was eventually mothballed in 2016. It's then owners, African Thunder (who must have acquired it from Plat Australia, as Dore says), sold out to Sail group. I wonder if it will be resurrected given the recovery in PGM prices?

I really like the goats, Mikie, but what do you make of the half a billiion tonnes of tailings in Zambia. Is it a bomb or a booboo? We know of 300 million tonnes in Zambia, and there is certainly plenty more, especially around Kitwe. But if we had acquired some sort of rights to another 200 million tonnes, surely that should have been announced by RNS. It is ultra price sensitive.

In any case, it's great to see such a high volume of shares changing hands at 19p. Long may it last and progress.

...in here today (pity about the spread). Just a small punt. As a long standing Jubilee shareholder, the recent link up (potential) with CMRS highlighted Cyprus. Seems the BoD here is pretty smart and the company is investor friendly. I've read all the RNSs/presentations/website stuff and some excellent posts on this board, so thanks for that. It also looks as the newsflow should be quite strong over the next few months. Exciting times.

Hi Mickie. Swiftly - yes - but cheaply? There must be more to this than meets the eye. If the major component of the tailings is oxides, then we can heap leach to produce a concentrate for selling on. If it’s sulphides, then it’s grinding and bubble flotation (as we are doing in Zambia) again to produce a concentrate. But to produce 99.9% Cu we need to add in smelting plus or minus electrowinning and I can’t see the numbers adding up. As others have said, there must be something more.
