Not so much 'crash' as 'apathy'. Truly massive shake-up of the BoD results in 4 share trades and no movement either way in Sp. It's as if the market couldn't care less. New NED looks pretty competent,though, so perhaps he will shake things up a bit.

I don't think the reference to Jubilee was all that complimentary: all the more reason to get going on the zinc circuit in H2 2021 as stated in several RNSs and interviews etc. I don't think it is putting it too strongly to claim that the reputation and credibility of the company in Zambia is at stake.

As I have said previously, the volume of transactions is too low to read anything into the fluctuations in share price.
Today is different. Someone is systematically trying to build a position. This is a company with a future and a highly competent BoD. Time to top up.

You are right, Shrews though any talk of constructing a processing plant will have to wait until we see what’s there. We should start to get a feel of what CMRS have in their dumps by October and there will be drill results before that.
I believe it’s possible to process oxides by leaching which is very cost effective but sulphides are more difficult. I mention this because there is some speculation on the Jubilee board that they might have made a breakthrough (just a comment from the CEO with radio silence thereafter)
My point is wildly speculative, but a single central processing facility might be sufficient to serve both CMRS and Chesterfield.

I don't think you need be concerned, Mammon. LC has stated on many occasions in RNSs, Interviews and presentations that Jubilee is unconditionally committed to storing waste from tailings reprocessing in an environmentally safe, zero effluent manner.

MajorD, the designation sell, buy or unknown is worked out by an algorithm which simple works out the midpoint between the bid and offer at the time. If the spread is tight, this is usually fairly accurate. If, however, the offer is artificially elevated, then the mid-point goes up and buys start appearing as sells and vice versa. Also, trades can be negotiated off-market and subsequently reported at a time when the Sp has changed. I pay very little attention to whether a trade is reported as sell or buy and simply note that shares are 'changing hands' at roughly this price.

With regard to the current Sp, we all know this is a gamble. We have an experienced BoD and illustrious partners. If there's copper there in economic quantities I am optimistic that we will find it. If not, so be it.

Thanks Mammon. I'll get stuck into those references, though A level chemistry is but a distant memory! I guess the processes under consideration have already been worked out in the laboratory and it is the challenge of scaling this up economically to an idustrial level that we are dealing with. Rather like our achievement with the fine chrome, maybe. There certainly was a glint in Leon's eye when he made his cryptic comment about something new in copper tailings processing.

Agree with Frogboy. Tantalising post Mammon and would appreciate more details. Are you referring to the processing of sulphides? I know oxides can be extracted by a heap leach process which does not involve smelting.

Similar for me. Slightly more than 25% loss on paper. I am not too worried. This looks like a well run company, operating in one of the better African jusidictions. It deals in a commodity which is in demand and will continue to be so. The company is growing with the acquisition of more licenses, the commissioning of new facilities and the development of its carbon credit business. Time will tell, but I have confidence that the BoD is aligned with shareholders. One for the medium to long term. I have a fill order to buy at 3.6p.

Business is business, Gotreal, but ESG probity is now very big business. Cleaning up Kabwe makes huge business sense, as well as being our moral obligation. I for one will be exceedingly disappointed if we do not make some progress on zinc in H2. The copper is not going to go away and we have plenty of cash.

You have to look at the history, Muscle. For years, Leon has taken shares in lieu of salary. When an institutional investor wanted to get in at 13p, Leon and Colin realised their options and sold on immediately to the investor. It is all clearly documented. Leon got what he has more than deserved.

Difficult to guess, Mickie. I was hoping for an update on Roan phase 2 by now. Once the physical separation circuit comes on stream our transport costs will drop considerably and production will increase too. It's possible that we are running a bit late. Zambia has been hard hit by Covid. Alternatively, the six month update could be used to bring us positive news on this. Bearing in mind my avatar, I am not predicting a copper production bonanza this quarter, but have much higher hopes for Q3.
