Brilliant results and a bright future. But I'm bitterly disappointed that the word 'Kabwe' does not appear once, not even in the Chairman's statement. The Sable refinery is sitting there, just waiting for stuff to be trucked over a hundred km from Roan, whilst right next door to it lies a vast obscene dump of potential revenue, poisoning the children of the town. They take the time to mention our ESG credentials but prefer to sweep this responsibility under the carpet. Previous RNSs have stated that we will be alerted to progress about Kabwe in H2 2021. Time is running out. If we don't get a clear plan at the AGM of what we are planning to do about it, I'm out.

Hi Mikie. The elephants are, in fact, geographically very close to the Roan material. I did wonder, if Sable's cobalt circuit is up and running, whether any elephant material might hitch a ride on the south-bound lorries. I know the three three projects are billed as separate, but there were mentions of 'synergies' in some previous RNSs.

Not sure what to expect from Labrador. Maybe that targets have been identified and further survey work is planned. But am I right in thinking that winter is the best time to drill in Canada, when the ground is frozen hard and can support the apparatus?

Scott, your maths is impeccable but that’s about as far as it goes! Take another very successful resource company, Anglo American. They are currently involved in a huge share buyback effectively reversing the process you have so eloquently described. It is quite feasible that this scenario could be played out by JLP in the fullness of time.

My understanding, Charles, was that the JV with Northam has finished and we are no longer trucking material to Eland. In which case, we are presumably trucking Windsor material to Inyoni which is reasonably near. My further understanding is that this is not to increase the output from Inyoni, but rather to increase the longevity of the project.

I am interested in the BioAMB part of this RNS. When I was a clinician we used to administer amphotericin B to patients with fungal endocarditis. It was the only thing that worked. It was also horribly expensive and its side effects were dreadful. If (and it's a big 'if') we have developed a hybrid which is safe and effective and reduces the side effects significantly, that would be huge, I mean really huge. Obviously we would need a partner to bring this forward and the RNS refers to interested parties. Nothing definite here (as usual) but I will be watching closely and interrogating the medical literature.

Not sure you’re right Edzi. We needed confirmation that Inyoni upgrade was up and running and we now have definite details and timings for Roan. These are hugely significant developments and to achieve them with only a month or two time slippage when global transport is in chaos is a massive plus. I like the RNS even though it says what expected (hoped) it would say.

Off topic, Gotreal, but a poster on CHF accused an individual, by name, not unassociated with CMRS, of holding a grudge and posting negative comments on the CHF board. In the absence of any evidence to back up the claims, all posts have been removed - correctly in my opinion, but it was fun while it lasted! I have to say, on a more serious note, that I am not enamoured of the Cyprus venture but would be delighted to be proved wrong.

Northman - there are some figures out there for dump 52. An aerial photo allows the area and someone has estimated it's depth. We also have an idea of the grade of cobalt in it. We don't know what sort of recovery rate we can get, so all estimates are no more than educated guesses. I don't have time today to trawl through all the posts, but the info is out there. Even with a conservative recovery rate, the figure is going to come out pretty big!

Hi Tricky. Great to hear from someone on the ground. My understanding is that Luanshya, despite it being the Roan Antelope mine (and south of Ndola) is actually project Lechwe (an antelope I think) and part of the northern (elephant) operation. That would fit with your lovely nuggets of cobalt. The Roan project actually relates to the geological roan strata at Ndola, north of Lechwe but actually a part of the southern strategy at Sable. Does this make sense?

Milieu. Like you I am interested in cobalt. In the back of my mind I sent to think the Roan tailings are not rich in cobalt and we will have to wait for TD52 before that income source to prosper. So, back end of next year as you say. I also think the ‘secret’ process alluded to by LC is related to cobalt extraction or concentration.

The closing price is based on a small uncrossing trade at the closing auction. I suspect it will open down at the value it has occupied over the last two days, but I accept there seems to be a buyer. Fingers crossed.
