Why are we concerned with a seller who owns no shares, classic troll.

I wonder if Kerogen or some other II might also be buying, the lack of any RNS does not exclude this - one of our big investors is a hedge funds so presumably could go long with leverage to swamp the shorters.

If you must respond, do so on another positive thread, with a positive message.

The pressure will be building on those with bearish positions as time closes in on them.

There are only 8 sessions to the Annual results when all will be clarified and then a further week to the CMD and clarification of the saleability of the business.

NO - parties working in concert must disclose or they will be prevented from launching any bid for a company and may also be forced to sell down shares - stalking a company is not permissible.

In response to recent posts about a buy back - I suspect the AGM agenda this year will include a vote on allowing a share buyback. Normally. I would concur with the sentiments of others that a buy back is a bad idea when funds can be used for growth, but in this case HUR clearly have a "time slot" issue where they can't simply use the cash in operational development - they need to progress on a path dictated by weather, approvals and precedence (e.g. gas clearance facility to allow expansion).

So a share buy back is (subject to BoD being prudent) a great option to have and even if not acted on we need the vote!

The importance of support from CA should not be underestimated, IMO it tell us a number of important things, or a least infers them.

- CA are supportive of the company, still believe in the concept.
- CA don't care or even welcome the departure of director Stobie.
- CA are not aware of any nasties lurking in the background
- The chances of a placing are more remote - CA would not buy if the company intended a placing that undercut their purchase price.
- CA will maybe continue to buy.
- Assuming CA are an insider (as some here suggest) then there is no known news that we are not aware of that has been shared with Institutions - that will include other institutions, so the fear that we are not operating on a level playing field is dispelled.
- CA are supposedly under the cosh with their investment and will presumably pick their investment targets very carefully in the current market with a huge number of under priced stocks available - their purchase suggests high confidence.

All in all much better news than it seems IMO , and maybe a signal to other IIs to take the plunge.

First can't say I expected this, but as someone that has queried the performance of Mr Stobie several times (with the expected kick back from those that will defend their directors to the death) and queried if he was responsible for our current demise - I suspect some of our IIs took the same view.

Let get one thing straight - this was not by some happy convergence of viewpoint, mutual agreement only because the position was untenable and all parties recognised it - he has stepped down he gets no pay off then ? I suspect II's or non-execs insisted on his departure, but why? He may have done nothing wrong and simply be a useful scapegoat?
With what happened it is only decent that someone should have fallen on their sword, perhaps more than one.

I don't believe there could be any financial discrepancies or fraud as that would need disclosing and Mr Stobie would under no circumstance be helping the BoD going forward. Maybe, some form of asset write down at worst.

So IMO we return to my previous suggestion, that having previously screwed up on presiding over a capital raise, the prospect he has been in the market sounding out potential investors (obviously there is no proof of that), possibly on his own initiative without approval of the BoD. Raising finance is what ambitious / entrepreneurial finance/commercial executives do. It doesn't matter that we don't need the money, if the city spivs heard rumours the gauntlet is laid down for an attack on the SP, exactly what has happened - I have never bought the blown up water threat or disappointing drill results as a full explanation of why we were attacked so successfully. It is familiar territory, the same as last time, incompetence? , CA as I recall where particularly upset as where PI's.

Who knows, but I believe if we ever find out the reason it will be a strategy difference, and if Dr T was/is in line with Mr Stobie then I suspect he could be moved to a new role as he's too valuable to sack.

Do not despair, this capitulation, and make no mistake, it has been a capitulation, the SP has actually stopped though there are attempts to push the SP significantly lower periodically it is met with resistance. You may not have noticed it amongst the doom and gloom of the markets and macro factors but the SP is holding up well and acting in line with other oilies or slightly better.

If those on the short side where still having their way, the SP would have tanked again, to a much greater extent in the last few sessions - there is resistance and a definite belief that the drop is drastically overdone - no significant buying visible yet but the MM's will be the first to recognise when the game is up and switch sides. not the idiot trolls on the BB who risk getting burned.

Of course we can't control the macro factors, today Coronavirus, tomorrow who knows, every company is under threat .

Keep your chin up. no one knows what tomorrow will bring, news is approaching that will change everything and IMO with the SP already crushed, for no known problems, I repeat no known problems (just made up/ fantasy issues) this is one of the best in sector to own.

Like others I bought a few more this week, I don't average down though, that's a mugs game, I bought because I believe in the company.

I despair at some of you, even after being warned be others you continue to support negative threads, giving legitimacy to stupid comments and lies.

If you cannot resist answering a negative post then do it via a new thread with a positive header and most importantly some positive statements "BASED OF FACT" not opinion - get the agenda back from the dark side.

Here's an example to discuss - Dr. Trice said the company knew of no reason why the SP should fall as it did, that was extensively commented on. But much less so, if at all, where other statements in the RNS that should give massive comfort to shareholders and start shorters sweating with every day that goes by:

"The Company intends to discuss the data acquired from the separate well tests and the subsequent combined flow at the Capital Markets Day on 25 March 2020, unless at any time prior, that data is outside of expectations."
and
"Hurricane remains focussed on delivering operational progress, on budget and on schedule, and, in so doing, delivering returns to shareholders. We look forward to continuing to update the market with quarterly production figures, and will announce any material variations to expectations as required."

Those 2 statement confirm the company will advise of any change "material variation" and not wait for the CMD or even progress with the CMD, it follows that whatever and of the idiots say we will hear of any problem so "THERE ARE NO MATERIAL PROBLEMS" and nothing worthy of reporting, bids or otherwise.

It's been a bad time to be a HUR shareholders, no doubt about it, depressing to see the falls day after day with no apparent reason. Obviously there is a reason, maybe not a reasonable or logical reason, " stupidity or naivety of PI's perhaps!"

However that aside I think we should not forget that the SP of companies also soars for no apparent reasons - last week SOU (who are surrounded by uncertainty) shot up well over 50%, EEE shot up today by up to 50% on no news and also surrounded by troubles. Look at MATD all over the place with nothing to get excited about but bad news for years when Shell pulled out, yet there appears to be a never ending stream of investors periodically piling in then running scared

Of course there is no direct equivalence with HUR (it's a much better company) the point is it cuts both ways and those on the side lines or short can also be caught out or be forced to change their stance suddenly.

Tomorrow is always beckoning and nothing is written in stone, no one knows what it might bring. I'm still expecting a very substantial profit here, it's just a matter of when.

Some PI's seem to think shorters just go away - why should they when they are enjoying rich picking. Like every predator while the feeding is good they'll keep coming back for more - so expect price fluctuations and new attempts to push down the SP. They'll only go away, or more to the point stop and hope for a new opportunity if something happens to cause them to do so.

IMO one of the problems is actually the CMD and results (preventing the BoD for any action that could hurt our enemies,) so they attack with impunity. The results are the key as then the BoD can buy shares/do interviews etc, assuming there is no other news they are privy to.

I asked this question on the BB before and don't recall anyone giving a response - what is the CMD for if we're not raising money, what is it all about? Do any of you truly know, it seems like a marker date that gives our enemies a free run to attack before news that could devastate them could be released, if good news is being saved up - hence they can attack with impunity for the time being!

Your reassurance that you want it all to turn out well for investors is most welcome after you point out the SO may not represent good value and tout your choice of investment - what a star, genuine through and through. On a serious note - if someone lends out shares to someone to short - do they still own them? If not why do companies never declare a change in their holding. In the current case I honestly believe this is being engineered by MMs The shorters (genuine positions) are joining the feeding frenzy but not leading it - in contrast many buyers are surely holding off for now in the hope of even lower prices, the SP has nothing to do with underlying value or prospects, we've long since lost touch with financial reality.

How many more times - the company never had said there will be an instant rise to 20000bpd, those suggesting it are setting up PI's to feel let down again when the company provides an update.

The volume should have increased appreciably and if we keep it real PI's should be pleased, and if past performance is anything to go by the target should eventually be surpassed.

Dodger - we need not worry about the wells being capable of producing 20000bpd, they look capable of producing that on natural flow and then some if the BoD decide to provide pump assistance.

Because they need various permissions (that should be forthcoming and to link into infrastructure (including BP pipeline for gas clearance) - all is in progress don't worry, they are one of a very small number of AIM companies that deliver on plans. They need to do everything in a logical/professional manner, can't go all guns blazing throwing caution to the wind, so "full throttle yes, and "necessary" prudence yes

As HUR are pushing forward with their planning to drill an extra production well on Lancaster then following the logic "THEY FULLY BELIEVE" in their business model and the validity of their assertion that the 2 existing wells can produce at a high rate. Some of you need to cool it a little on the 20000 bpd now suggestion, they are ramping up to that so no one should have any expectations of an instant jump. Clearly 40000 bpd is within striking distance in the next few years - proposals are in planning/permission stage.

According to the BoD there are no known issues, and to the best of my Knowledge Dr T has no history as a fantasist or telling lies so all is good

So much fretting, soul searching and doubt has helped sustain the negative spiral for HUR , grow some for god's sake and weak and uncommitted have already departed.

Over-egged then over sold now being over thought and in the background the show goes on without problems - if the companies enemies ever dreamt of a great outcome this could not be working out better, little mention of the great achievements or potential anymore the agenda has been totally hijacked.

What does it matter if idiots and enemies post rubbish about the company unless some of you believe it and sell - the constant questioning and scrutiny of the legitimacy of the suggestions is ridiculous, even criticism provides legitimacy.

Use some common sense guys all the so-called expert analysis should be treated very sceptically. Problem is many naïve PI's swallow the drivel.

Many are now scared of buying for the time being hence we sink ever lower until the mood changes, there is no reasonable case for the collapse but that doesn't matter when gut feeling and fear are the drivers. Why should II's come to the rescue, they'll buy under the radar, if buying at all to get them at the best price It's up to PI's to instil some stability - my advice is simply be rational, recognise we are being manipulated and most importantly of all stop giving negative rubbish legitimacy it does not deserve by constantly discussing it - isn't it time for the positive story to start getting some air time.

Wessexmario - I always go back and re-read RNS's. so many flip read and jump to a conclusion when there are obvious flaws in assumptions.

I do believe our BoD are allowing ambiguity by being too brief with key statements - they need to be concise out they also need to sell it out. Should have put it clearly that the abandonment was necessary due to the regulator and not the JV's decision.

So glad you said that, notice PI's just mover on after your comment, most just don't realise they are being played, lambs to the slaughter, that's what we are with a regulator that seems to let AIM be anything the professional want it to be.

I've posted a number of times about an interview from a few years ago with Dave Lennigas, an eye opener from a CEO who knows, who has launched more AIM companies in this sector than perhaps anyone said he'd had enough - he made it clear he believed that the MM's where mainly responsible for the problems on AIM. My recollection (that's as far as I may go because I can't find the link) is he suggested that where naked short selling - basically chucking in sales to push the SP down and letting it go to maximise their profits and blamed the regulator for not acting.

Essentially it's like betting against a banker laying bets with more cards, all hidden, and our cards on full show.

They know things we don't - who's trading, who intends to trade and who is likely to trade if they create fear or optimism.

Know your enemy guys and stop adopting predictable trading patterns that can be used against you - surely we a currently just seeing the same shares being traded multiple times here along with maybe a few non-existent one's - I wonder how much the free float on any trading day actually is, we'd probably find it is miniscule.
