I don't know what the news will be and believe the news to drive a proper correction will likely be months away, as I posted the other day the BoD are undertaking an assessment so that shareholders can have confidence in information provided - a fast assessment will suggest a superficial exercise. In the meantime, there is the possibility of news on many fronts that could help or hurt the SP.

The news shareholders and potential shareholders crave is the news which will remove uncertainty. that is the news enemies of the company will dread - even if it doesn't improve the SP certainty remove the guesswork of buying or selling.

You say "Typical one sided ramp", at best a silly comment at worst intentionally deceitful, I did not suggest the SP would rise anytime soon or comment on the positives or negatives of the company. Clearly you have a negative agenda and wish to rubbish my opinion.

Just because a particular stock is up and another down it means nothing wrt future movement. To everyone, please yourself what you do but don't bore us we your intention, I buy and sell regularly but don't feel a need to announce a meaningless event.

Furthermore,, what on earth has UKOG got to do with this company, there is no read across, poster are merely whinging that they have missed a significant uptick - so what, there are shares that surge or tank almost every day - why should we care.

HUR has suffered some news shocks, the BoD are addressing it, in the meantime there is uncertainty, why is anyone surprised by the SP weakness - it will right itself when the BoD if shareholders the news they crave.

IMO the most likely deal is a sale of Warwick which would solve most of the problems in financing development and go a long way towards ensuring the debt does not become a problem in a year or so.

I believe a full takeout of HUR is just wishful thinking.

Draft - most of us realise what is going on, it's pathetic to watch someone pretending to be a shareholder to gain credibility to trash the SP.

There are also a few on here who did deramp and I believe have now bought shares and ramp (won't mention names, but some of us take note), I don't give them any credibility as they will change their stance again as soo as they sell for a small profit and be rubbishing the company once again.

This is just a nasty game for some of the slimy players without ethics - they often don't even believe what they say.

Nevertheless if the BoD deliver they'll all be swept aside and go pester some other distressed shareholder - nothing changes

First, the BoD will not be eager to get an RNS out, in cahoots with anyone or conspiring in any way- they'll do what is right.Come on guys lets get real the demise of HUR started before the the coronavirus problems took hold and had little to do with shorting - it can all be traced to a series of poor updates from the company (raising potential water problem issues etc) culminating in the latest RNS finally accepting Dr T has not cut the mustard, it was clear from the previous RNS statement he had lost his composure (expressing surprise is unforgivable) and hence it's no surprise he lost confidence of key shareholders .We have no reason to believe the new executive team are doing anything other than a tip top job in a perfectly honourable manner."A new brush sweeps clean" the old saying holds true, the BoD released an RNS that put in the spotlight all the potential problems and made it clear they are going to leave no stone unturned in digging out all the skeletons. "It's a very clear statement of intent to get to the bottom of the issues and provide future information that we can all have confidence in. Great stuff, totally ignored by many, we need the confidence rebuilding and there is NO INFERENCE that statement that the BoD believe the oil water contact is higher - but any future statement will be based on robust evidence not wishful thinking. With that in mind once the BoD do provide a positive statement (hopefully positive) it will carry a lot more weight than recent Dr T comments which were greeted with increasing scepticism and IMO the SP will rebound appropriately.

Like it or not, the sad thing is that some shareholders and shorters believe it is in their interests to sell shares at these ridiculous levels and the are not sufficient purchasers to overwhelm their actions.

The MM's and pals exaggerate and milk the situation for all it's worth be using simple tricks to line their own pockets. It so easy for them because policing of the market is pathetic, practically non-existent

Yesterday big purchases where hidden until after the end of the session and buys deterred (happened for many sessions) by disabling buy option at times or opening the spread - a sceptical person might think they are manipulating the price, lol.

This morning, even though after hours trades would suggest a higher opening price, the price was lower still - not an accident, it creates a feeling of vulnerability wrt the SP

The above and much more is evident in many companies SP, but the solution is simple buyers need to overwhelm the selling activity and I don't mean buying from those that keep bragging on here and ramping to make a few % points profit - they actually help the bears by gradually trashing confidence selling into periodic rises.

Are some of you really as deluded as you appear to be - there may be buyers, but if that is the case then there are also sellers at this ludicrous price.

Some entity is selling into any strength , so yes you are probably getting a great bargain price, but please stop the silly attempts at ramping suggesting anything is imminent. It could rise any moment. or even surge, but it could easily be weeks or months away from a true recovery.

It's clear some of you are simply in for a few % points and simply disappear and in some cases start deramping for a second bite at the cherry.

The only advice I would give to shareholders is hold your nerve and ignore the drivel being posted, positive or negative.

The BB has deteriorated badly.

Interesting lack of interest here with the SP taking a step back and consolidating - hopefully it will start moving up again soon, there is plenty of scope now as the Gold price is high even if it goes no further and the SP has not yet responded.

I'm sitting tight, not tempted to sell (no fears) and have bought enough to be satisfied with any upside.

If people are going to stay in the UK this year and possibly to some extent next, then home grown activities of all sorts are going to be popular, Fishing, Golf, Walking and others - people will want some pleasure - without disrespecting UK resorts, sitting on the likes Blackpool beach does is not have the same attraction as Majorca or Greece.

The world has now changed and people have had a chance to reflect on what they miss and what matters to them - I suspect for many it will be leisure rather than filling wardrobes with more clothes.

Time will tell, but I think the only retailers with a snowball in hells chance of prospering in the short term will be specialist as where there is a choice many shoppers will give shops the swerve (on line sales channels are have been given a major boost) and buy on line.

Most important IMO is that companies have the cash to dodge bullets and take advantage of opportunities, so though the SP may be stagnant for a while the capital raise was a major boost. Options are now available, including pouncing on distressed assets and businesses.

Spread very tight and SP almost static for most of the day - I don't know what it means but would suggest the MMs are clearing orders possible on buy side equally could be sell - I suspect the true direction will become clear when they are ready to let it go. No doubt it will be up/down and all around in the absence of any more news.

There are widely differing opinion on the news this morning - from full strength Rosy Coloured Spectacled vision to those only seeing the end of the road. We can be assured the debate will deteriorate into acrimony and vicious jibes, probably before the day is out.

My view is, I was not wholly pleased with the Seismic shift, but not sorry Dr T is gone. The refocus and cupboard clearing exercise that is now underway could be traumatic (they will get rid of any residual problems onto the shoulders of DrT and I don't blame them) but we can take comfort that those in control are heavily invested and underwater like many PI's - the new BoD will want success for all.

Time will tell, but I revert to what I have previously said, if the proposition/concept sold to us by DrT pans out the SP will soar eventually to a level that is anybody's guess, if the model proves wrong and the water is indeed closer it might be a long hard slog. In either case it is still game on, please don't turn the BB into a slanging match by being bated by those that appear every time a company is in turmoil or under threat .

Some may be disappointed that the SP has stagnated this afternoon, but if so stop and think about it, the SP almost invariably slumps on Friday for HUR and many companies as traders and shareholders alike shed shares to lower risk or take profit and MM's shut the door on profit takers and arguably grab it for themselves.

I don't want to jinx it, but if it holds to the end of the session I believe this is a very bullish day just as good as yesterday - pointing to terrific buying pressure.

There will have been a number of potential buyers hoping for a retrace this afternoon sadly disappointed - they'll have to sweat on it over the weekend to panic buy on Monday.

Figures are $17 and $26.

But anyone that understands anything about fixed and variable costs will understand it is all ROUGHLY.

They are not straight line relationships with production (which is now changed and many other factors overheads are not fixed etc - suffice to say if the oil selling price is at $26 or thereabouts we're OK.

The bonds are somewhat meaningless in this respect as they're not repayable for 2 years, the interest on them will be included in the costs calculation. They'll be refinanced unless the company's concept fails - don't worry because if it fails the bonds are meaningless as it will be a matter of who gets the biggest share of nothing. It's (bonds) a red herring at the moment, if we get into difficulty expect the first move to be a leveraged entity to take up some bonds to block renegotiation and start shorting the company - ref POG and PMO for examples. But we are nowhere near that, they'll be plenty of signals along the road.

They'll already be in and planning what bait to plant to grab the days agenda - something positive with an element of underlying menace is always good

and we know so little whilst others know the hidden information, MM's in particular and sometimes II'.

We don't know if the seller is done of not, but contrary to what a poster just suggested they still have huge firepower as do so many market participants who can leverage.

Did the seller also short in the intervening period or are they now intent on buying back cheaper, didn't CA do that (sell then buy) a few months ago? Are other II's quietly buying/selling, lets face it many participants don't RNS properly. My point is Knowledge is power when it comes to trading and we know very little, some would say nowt and we shouldn't assume anything.

However, Pelham sold around 1/4 of their holding and roughly 1 1/2% of the company, raises a few questions, obviously why - looks pretty obvious, but is it! If you want to sell, you do it quietly if you want the best price, so why haven't they sold more first? Are they intent on selling more or are they buyers now they've put a break on the SP by introducing the fear of further sells?

More sinister is that Pelham may intend shorting the SP and have now created the necessary agenda, I read a few months ago about a shorter that made known their intent to instil fear. The next move will be interesting, PI's including me have been accumulating on weakness and if spirit is not broken the game will be up soon for those trying to supress the SP. The RNS could be the cue for CA or Kerogen to show support and change the agenda.

One other thing the RNS tells us is the BoD are either not talking to Pelham about strategy or impending activity, or there is nothing critical that would prevent trading- essentially they are not privy to any bad news. They also know nowt.

It's all down to our company to deliver success strategically and operationally to change the mood, the SP will then retrace rapidly, if Dr T cannot deliver he should stand aside. I continue to invest because I believe the company will deliver. then selling by Pelham or anyone else will make no difference

Will settle the SP, it stands to reason those that want out will be liquidating now, if you don't believe in the proposition why would you wait until after the AGM , post AGM unless bad news is released to accompany it invariably results in an increased SP. The flip side should be that the vast majority of those remaining will stick with it until the SP moves up.

IMO the company will almost certainly issue an update on plans/strategy as shareholders will be expecting nothing less.

It's quite clear to me that the Brent oil price is being driven by WTI. I.e. it will not go lower and WTI is going up. Staying roughly 1 0r 2 dollars above - WTI justplunged by $0.3 and brent followed suit. This is in stark contrast to a few weeks ago when Brent and WTI went their separate ways and prior to that Brent had a healthy premium.

In short, currently the market appears heavily based on US demand rather than any change for brent, that's fine as the price is rising but I hope we divorce quickly if WTI crashes again - I would prefer a healthier margin .

We all need a good dose of obvious BS to make us focus on the facts, even if one thinks HUR is like being in the frying pan who wants to jump into a potential fire.

I'm a little confused by the viewpoint taken by viewpoint over the Lincoln - the OGA are not preventing HUR from linking the well.

My understanding is the OGA have not prevented Hur/Spirit from linking the well to the production system - we have not proposed a scheme to do so within a reasonable timeframe so had to plan to abandon.

This, though not said explicitly, appears to me to be because Spirit have lost their appetite and don't want to spend the money (HUR RNSed an option to pay for it), the extra time granted allows time for a proposal to be prepared and approved including full testing of the well to provide confidence if undertaken this year.

Surely HUR have not tried so hard to get the extension just to put off the abandonment process?

Guys - they don't need the ESP at the moment it's required to cope if the natural flow doesn't meet the desired flowrate.

It's a non-issue, unless something has changed drastically.

The only issue is getting any drilling/testing campaign started (if there is to be one) soon enough to complete before the weather window closes for another year. Plans MUST be settled soon, they must do something I presume or the rig which was booked and is now, I presume, free must surely attract penalties - Spirit may have to swallow some of the rig costs on our behalf as their work programme is now cancelled. Depending on what deal they signed, this year could be a very cost effective time to get things done
