RE: Long thesis on LoopUp Group21 Jan 2021 20:52
lemon your comment "I do believe that at some point in the future as connections get better and better then in 20 years LoopUp will not be viable but right now I see it being worth the cheap price."
Exactly right to highlight that issue, posters are suggesting technology has already bypassed Loopup, that is not so.
To develop your point further, if Microsoft or Apple continue selling their products for 20 years without progress then they would also be dead in the water. Lookup are selling into this years market NOW with a product that links to software provided by the worlds biggest software vendor, Microsoft believe it's a worthwhile market and Zoom actually offer a similar solution to Loopup's wrapped on Teams offering - if its dated then why are the big players bothering with it? and How do Loopup manage to sell it then it it?
I read a forum rubbishing standalone MS Teams and extoling the virtues to Skype which is apparently being phased out this year in favour of MS Teams. It may have escaped the notice of some but the company has assigned a bigger budget to software development, inferring they recognise the need to keep up with the competition and won't be doing the same thing in 20 years
Their solution has to work for it's customers, it needs to be easy and professional it does not need to be the world's best, in fact it never will be and chasing that goal would likely bankrupt Loopup. As for USP, it doesn't need to be unique, it needs to be Simple, Affordable, Functional, Reliable, Supported, fulfil customer Needs etc - all those things are obvious and combine to provide a winning service - that's unique enough.
Unique is a very tall order, try naming one IT company with a unique selling point? Even Mircosoft, Apple, IBM and the like would struggle
