They are doing unoptimised in vivo studies now and starting the optimised at the start of the year. They have done in vivo testing before and the results were good using both 2 and 3 injections. The latest pre in-vivo study in Sept was a non event due to the control not responding either.

Agreed, both the viral vectors and oral application work coincided with the commencement of the Evotec tie up. They will be a great introduction to potential suitors (if required) and they are also no strangers to themselves injecting money into promising companies to expand their pipeline of co-owned projects.

Todays update was a surprise but a welcome boost.

So far Nuvec has been proven to:

work in-vitro
work in-vivo using 2/3 injections (University of Queensland 2019 study in mice)
have low toxicity
Still work in vitro after being store at room temp
Has now also now been optimised to address agglomeration which means it will probably work using fewer injections

The data package is starting to take a great shape. It has already been proven to work in vivo so now is just being finely tuned. As others have mentioned - potential partners must be watching this very closely. MedImmune (AZN) were involved a couple of years ago when Nuvec was at a far earlier stage.

The next few weeks or so could be a newsflow-fest with updates expected on un-optimised in-vivo C19 studies and then optimised in-vivo to follow. Not to mention Evotec's current study to assess feasibility of the oral application (initial results were encouraging).

The recent broker note commented that collaborative deals could come at any time and that certainly looks the case now....
