worst case scenario when they know the total death toll is less than 3000 (2700/90%) of those in China) is headline grabbing news designed to panic readers.
Where are all these other 497,000 deaths going to occur? China, Europe the US? I think we should be told and given the death rate is c.1-2% how many infections would there be to have 500,000 deaths? PFour hundred mill easily that's more than the pop of the USA.
Of course its serious, very serious if it reaches pandemic proportions but 500,000 deaths? Heres a list of common causes of fatalities this year.
