Looks like the 'afternoon' crowd are trying to take the Dow down, it's c.400 off session high atm.

No idea how many were traded or bargains dealt, 4 or 14. Doubt it makes any difference the shares are down along with everything else, well cpo put on $14 or so to $618. Mpe got a right clobbering off 76 but Anglo put on 44. An oil stock I was in is now worth less than its cash in bank!
How ridiculous is that?
There's no rhyme or reason to valuations in these mrkts everything is priced for armageddon the final struggle.
Advice is pointless, cash is definitely king. Tune out, chill out and drop out till this virus is defeated in 3, 6, 9 months time.
Who knows how long it will take?
I'd say prepare for the worst and hope for the best.

I hope so ocelot but the lack of testing for the virus is masking a hell of a lot of infections!! The fig est at 30-50,000.

A good read value bud but as I'm sure you know mrkts are not interested (in the short term). We are constantly told that value will out/revert to the mean etc..., it didnt before covid-19 and it ain't now.

So when?

Hold and wait it out. Ones options are few. Bottom drawer your certs and come back in 3-6 months.

Ftse well off 5308 high now just 10 odd up, early days I know but gut feeling this is only going one way.
The unremitting gloom from Dixons etc... is killing sentiment in the mrkts and unemployment will be shooting upwards. We will see what the Chancellor has to say later today. Boris has tanked the leisure sector and i fully expect my local Tap to close as people stay away terrified of picking up this unseen virus which I may have picked up 10 days ago but yet to show symptoms.
No doubt about it but talk of 50,000 UK deaths has spooked everyone.

'Afraid that made little sense av palm 122.5 current 100 if still held down c.20%. As it was outed for a c.22p profit.

Looks better ftse 230+ but dare you tread in these mrkts? Trust has almost been lost imo. Nobody in their right minds believes crrent valuations which makes investing even more hazardous than ever. G at 72 makes little sense and 6 months out you probably wont believe you could have picked up those G $ Bill's for 10c.
I'm down 20% on my palm stock only because I bought sub 100 and outed at 147ish but am standing on the touchline atm.
My gut feeling is to buy in here
however the 6 month outlook economically is too uncertain especially if the US goes into recession and then what price anything?

have never bought a Bank stock in my life but if we ever see a recovery I think I'd like a few..

Palms getting clobbered today, Anglo the worst hit by far despite being a profitable company a rarity in the sector. That as you know means nothing today but who knows tomorrow?While mrkts fixate on covid-19 and the fallout, if your a lth pis it's best to watch from the sidelines.With the ftse down some 2000 points ytd sooner or later funds will start to buy stocks that have been trashed and best let them lead the advance. I doubt the palm oil sector will be on their buy lists, a missed chance or a good swerve, I dunno. With cpo at $604 over $200 down from the unrealistic high of early 2020 and likely heading lower I'm watching and tbh fearful that estates will be racking up more losses this year and I have no idea how the weather (rain etc..) is impacting production in Indonesia.China may be returning to work but if the supply chain is still clogged up in export mrkts I can see further pain ahead through Q 2 & 3. What's happening in the UK atm is off the scale of anything anybody has ever seen and I have experienced all the crashes since the 70's Banking crisis and I'm flabbergasted at the rapid spread of the virus and the blind panic of people which has damm near crippled London a city of 7 million. I shall now have to isolate myself if I feel poorly, hell I do most days after a lunchtime session and have a 70+ badge stencilled to my forehead wherever and whenever I dare go out as someone to avoid! Mind you there ain't many people on the streets of my part of South London.

On my High St, Tesco was empty because the shelves were bare, ditto the Sbry store. Lidl had been wiped bare hence Iceland being rammed at 8.00am. They will have been cleaned out by 11.00 am I reckon.
A truly brilliant piece of organisational management from our supermarkets! You'd almost think they dgaf! I was told at 7.00am the Coop were waiting on a delivery. As at 10.15 nothing!
Oh welI its meatballs for me this week, the only meat available at Iceland this morning.

Is happening in this country, my local Halifax is closed till Thursday !

Oh well head home and read a book or start re-watching my DVD box set collections! Should keep me going for 4 months!
