Can you advise the Board what is the significance of the difference in both dates ? THE BNP analyst's opinion doesn't influence,and hasn't influenced, the BIRG SP in the slightest. If you are not aware,15 Analysts currently cover the BIRG SP and the result of their analysis puts a high of €15.6 - a median of €13 and a low of €10.60 on the S.P. so the BNP opinion is neither here nor there. Also, what has cowardice got to do with this ?????

I now take it that you accept as a racing certainty that a Bank Levy shall be introduced in the 4 October Budget, with the only uncertainty being the extent of the levy.

BOI downgraded by Exane BNP Paribas analyst claiming earnings momentum would stall after this year.BOI downgraded from outperform to neutral with a €12.80 TP.

It does not mean the stock will trend negatively but more a signal that there will be a more neutral sentiment than a bullish one.

The word "IF" covers a multitude. are you telling us the bank levy payable by BIRG next year will be 87 million and as such would not be a big dent on profits.? imo the minister and Dept of finance are still debating the issue and what was paid last year will not determine the formula arrived at. In 2022 PBT for both banks c 1.8 Bn and in 2023 PBT for both predicted to be c.4.2Bn - an increase of almost 2.5 Bn !

Markets do not like uncertainty and until the bank levy issue is clarified the BIRG SP , and AIB, will be staying in range it has been in over the last few weeks.

Finance Minister has indicated that intends to raise and expand the scope of the state's bank levy in the forthcoming budget. Until this is clarified in the budget there is unlikely to be much upward movement in both banks SPs.

A statement relating to the 3rd qtr should appear towards end of october but it will make no reference to any 23 dividend.

However that is now historic as the Boo must now generate growth of 1150% to reach your entry point. You are also probably in shock to realise that your beloved Boo must also generate growth of almost 100% to reach your much posted SP figure of 60p few months ago. WILL YOU EVER GET IT RIGHT.

In 2020 you went to great lengths through a series of posts to highlight your opinion that Ryanair would end up in liquidation and the end result would be their being taken over by Bonholders. However, WHAT ACTUALLY TRANSPIRED WAS that , IN ADDITION TO GOVT BAILOUTS, BOTH IAG and E JET HAD TO RESORT TO RIGHTS ISSUES TO KEEP AFLOAT. This also highlights the FACT that the Govt. Bailout was necessary as no further debt was forthcoming from your beloved bondholders. I WONDER WHY.

However, believe it or not, your predicted crash, RYANAIR, didn't have to resort to a Govt Bailout - on the contrary they brought cases to the ECJ saying such Bailouts to be illegal. I believe Ryanair did a limited Rights Issue of 300odd million unlike the billions raised by their competitors. Now you highlight once again your supreme investment ignorance in believing such Rights Issues are not to be taken into account in determining the relative performances of companies. Without such Rights Issues, you Pillox, your 2 examples wouldn't be in existance to even allow comparisons to be made. They would have been chewed up by your beloved Bondholders. You appear to be under the illusion that Rights Issues are the equivalent of GRANTS !

And you still don't understand why Ryanair is the Wd No 1 LCC - perhaps you do but are suffering from the same malaise of your buddy - Blind Prejudice.

How have I contradicted myself ? DT says the Boo might go to 25p but I decide to go on my own hunch and buy at 34.5p. Where is the contradiction ? DT may well be proved correct in time but in the meantime the Boo might rally to 40p or thereabouts and I have made money,lovely jubly as del boy might say. Mind you they are presently a very long way off the Doomster's predicted 60p plus with the Boo declining 33.5% in last few months. Doomster being a spectacular failure YET AGAIN.NOTHING LIKE CONSISTENCY.

On 14 Dec 2022 bought 20,000 Boo at 13.03pm at 38p costing £7600.(€8900). On 29 march 2023 at 8.05amsold 20000 ( 1500/18500) at 55.5p for £11,100 ( €12,550) for a 41% gain.

On 17 July 2023 bought 23,973 Boo at 8.08am for 34.5p - should have stayed out and will probably buy for 30p in coming weeks. Would you agree, Doomster, or do you see 25p on the horizon as DT has often said, with him being generally correct and you never at the races.

So ,Sloopy, are you now telling us that an investor cannot buy in December, sell in march , reinvest again in July. - RING A BELL .

Unlikely to see any real upward movement in next 2 months with hols,wrc and detail on bank replacement levy in october budget awaited, Interim mgt statement on 3rd qtr might give impetus but f/y PBT of 2bn well flagged so no surprises expected here.
