I have gone to the trouble of analysing history of the 5 largest european a/l and makes interesting reading.

IAG current sp = 1.80. Top SP in last 5 years = 5.22 in Feb 2020. Market Capitalisation = 7.5 Billion ponds.

Easy Jet current SP = 545. Top SP in last 5 years = 12.70 in2/2020.Market capitalisation = 4.15 Billion.

Lufhansa current SP = 7.74. Top SP in last 5 years = 16.67 in lFeb 2019. Market capitalisation = 9 Billion.

Air France .current SP = 12.12. Top SP in last 5 years =57 in 2/2019. Market Capitalisation = 3.17 Billion.

RYANAIR . current SP = €19.25. Top SP in last 5 years = €19. Market capitalisation = 22.15 Billion.

No doubt but both of you must admit the above figures are staggering.

BOI traded today at 8.24 with market capitalisation of 8.73Bn.

Given Ryanair's revised profit estimates reasonable to assume BOI 2/24 figure will exceed Ryanair.

A very constructive post. I als find it difficult to reconcile BOI's current mkt cap with that of Ryanair. While Ryanair have declared a PAT figure of 2.18 BNn for half tear to 9/23 their profits in 2nd half of year are generally negligible compared to 1st half. Also Airline industry also considered more risky to financial sector which is reflected in their higher beta. This may be countered by the fact that Ryanair on a stronger growth path than BOI.Still difficult to explain BOI mkt cap of 8.75 Bn v Ryanair almost 20 Bn. Also in 6/22 BOI at 6BN and 8/9 months later at 11 Bn. I suppose that is the market for you.

You were asked on numerous posts your prediction on what Ryanair's cash position would be at end of 2020 when you eventually came up with your junior bondholders response. awaiting an explanation on why you believed Ryanair would be bankrupt in March 2021 and taken over by their junior bondholders, considering they are now the World's No 1 Airline by market capitalisation and bigger than IAG - Lufthansa - Air France combined. You have to agree this is some achievement.

Your prediction here is ALMOST on a par with your Boohoo - BIRG -AIB - predictions.

The Boeing report will not have any dent on Ryanair's profit predictions.
